Battery Life Task [Shopping Task]

7 Jul, 2014 - 10:56 AM by James
The housemates have been set a new task called 'Battery Life'. It involves housemates sacrificing their belongings and other possessions to keep a battery charged; they can then trade the battery power for rewards in the task room. The task lasts two days.

Details of how the task works:

Housemates woke up on the first day of the shopping task and discovered that the House is running on its backup generator.

The only remaining power in the House is shown on a giant battery in the Living Area. The battery will start off being 100% charged. Throughout the two days Housemates will enter Big Brother’s App Zone in the Large Task Room where they can trade energy to use a Big Brother App which will include: messages from family, and safety from nomination. Every time Housemates choose to use a Big Brother App then the battery will lose some of its power. Each App will be worth a different amount of power.

In the Living Area will be a generator which is the only way in which Housemates can create energy to refuel the battery. The generator is fuelled by Housemates sacrificing their belongings. Housemates’ most prized possessions must be thrown in the generator as a way of gaining more battery percentage for the House. E.g. the money Mark won on launch night.

Housemates must ensure that the energy from the battery is not completely drained in order to pass this week’s shopping task.

Battery task. One part it says this...

The housemates can also generate energy to top up the battery by sacrificing their belongings - but will they choose to give up their most important possessions, such as the money Mark Byron won on launch night?

So if Mark's money could be given up, could Helen's pass be given up?

I would hope so but BB seem really keen to let her keep it.
She has had warning after warning yet nothing.
She should hand the pass to Christopher after the way she treated him the other night.
I would love to see BB do that

Don't know about hag ladies but you must admit that the pass to the final would be better given to a nice person than a bitch?

This week’s Big Brother 2014 nominations are set to see a twist, we can confirm.

BB announced the Big Brother 2014 nomination results yesterday evening, revealing that that joining Jale Karaturp (as the killer nomination) were Christopher Hall, Chirs R Wright, Ashleigh Coyle and Marlon Wallen.

But they are not the final results.

As part of this week’s shopping task, housemates will get the chance to save themselves from nomination.

Earlier, the Big Brother House was drained of all power and the remaining power from a backup generator is shown on a giant battery.

In order to pass the task, housemates must keep the battery charged.

BB will tempt them with prizes that drain the batter, including messages from family, and and also safety from nomination this week, Channel 5 has confirmed to us.

It means that one or more of the five could be saved from eviction.

Exactly how it will works is not quite clear as we can’t imagine all five being given the chance to save themselves.

And it’s also not yet apparent if Power nomination victim Jale will be able to avoid eviction.

In a second twist to the task, housemates can win more energy for the battery if they sacrifice possessions, with Mark potentially losing the £5,000 he won on launch night.

> Big Brother 2014: Helen Wood could lose pass to final in new task

The task will air over the next two days’ highlights shows on Channel 5.
