Big Brother: Time Bomb Launch grabs 1.8 million viewers |
13 May, 2015 - 9:14 AM by Jake. |
Big Brother launched with 1.8 million viewers last night, according to reports. A total of 1.7 million watched live, with an additional 100K opting to see the housemates enter one hour later on 5+1. This marks the lowest launch rating in the shows history. Last year grabbed 2.1 million viewers, however it should be noted it ran at a shorter time of 90 minutes (compared to 120 minutes for last night) due to the split launch. Big Brother: Timebomb continues tonight, 10PM, on Channel 5. |

Oh dear. Maybe revealing the housemates early had something to do with the lower ratings |

I'm surprised but not surprised at the same time. I knew it would rate low, but I didn't expect it to rate that low. I thought it would get 1.8m excluding +1. But, 1.8m including +1 is bad. I'm upset it rated the same as BB15's dire second launch. But TBH this launch screamed of low-ratings. No promotion. None whatsoever. Revealing housemates before launch First May Launch, since 2007. As opposed to recent years when launched in June. BB15 Weird to think it's over 1m down on BB13's launch and 0.6m down on BB15's first launch. |
