No, it's not a word like
Cat or
Wall. And you can swear to your heart's content as far as I'm concerned. If, however, I you were were swearing and I had my young neices with me, I would care. In fact, you and I would have to have a conversation about it. Similarly I don't want to turn on the TV and hear someone eff and blind on my telly halfway thought the day.
Yes, there are worse things going on in the world. But that doesn't mean I want to hear someone who can't control themselves be ill-mannered enough to swear in front of kids. Or me, for that matter. I don't want to hear it on the telly during the day.
I have no idea where you're going with the boat floating thing.
