As regards comedy only American sitcoms are even watchable .

The only stand up comedians I like are Peter Kay , Micky Flannaghan and these two

The Scapegoat……I found this on Netflix and it was a little hidden gem…not an original storyline as such but just a good solid cast and ticked along very nicely…7/10…

…had a rainy old movie day yesterday so…


Bullet Train….…just hugely fast and fun, very much in a Guy Richie style as all the threads and characters collided together and the it just didn’t ever slow down at all…the cast also was starry and excellent…8/10…

Black Phone…..very unnerving, very creepy and unsettling and nail biting stuff …it’s obviously a storyline that grips you tightly and holds you throughout until you can breath again at the end…also 8/10…

Bad Land Road to Fury……I hadn’t heard of this movie before so it was very unexpected in lots of good ways…it’s a story told from three perspectives and I liked it a lot, it’s very well told and very well cast…8/10…

Dafoe plays the complete psychotic villainous characters so well he comes across very likeable irl honestly, whenever i see him on tv, at rugby games in the stands or at red carpet events for award shows

Dune 2 - I felt mixed on it tbh, it had it's moments (and I know that my Dad loves the Dune Books) so I tried not to say too much about my personal issues with the Film, but I'll say them on here as he doesn't use TIBB, as far as I'm aware.

I'll start with the negatives and finish with the positives.

Negatives:
- The Film could've been trimmed by at least 20 minutes imo, especially with so many scenes either being wasted on cringy romantic scenes, or panned out shots where no dialogue or action is really happening.

- I still am not convinced by Timothee Chalamet or Zendaya in the roles that they've been given, and I actually say that as someone that likes Zendaya in the Spider-Man Movies, but both of them are lacking something a little extra for me, that I feel like the cast around them are bringing to varying degrees, but them two just aren't imo.

- I forgot to add that sometimes Dune 2 weren't very good at explaining certain technology that their universe uses, or the lore around the Dune universe.

My Dad had to explain certain things to me, because otherwise I wouldn't have really known why certain things were even happening.

Positives:
- Rebecca Ferguson, she's a Really good Actress, I am definitely becoming one of her fans after the two Dune Films and Silo.

- The nutjob villain, he needed more screentime imo, but the scenes that he had were really fun I thought, and well acted.

- The GOT-esque Politics was definitely heating up more in this Film versus the first one, it felt more interesting to me anyway.

- Improved Action scenes.

So yeah looking at it, I am leaning slightly more positive than negative, but I definitely controversially feel that there are problems with adapting Dune into a Movie Medium.

…Old…I also watched…it’s quite a bizarre movie in that it’s set like an extravagant Hollywood version of an Agatha Christie mystery with all of the characters ‘randomly’ coming together on this too good to be true paradise destination…I mean, if it seems too good to be true then it generally is so just don’t go there…it was horror and sci fi and black comedy… a cross between so many genres, it should have been so muddled and frantic….but actually, I really enjoyed how absorbing it was…but felt quite upset at lives just passing and slipping away in the blink of an eye…an absorbing and thought filled..8.5/10…

I watched John Wick 3 a couple of nights ago.

It was really fun imo, it kind of reminded me of Season 4 of Angel in terms of how frantic it was, I found it to be really fun, and it was nice to see a Film that was made in more recent times (2019 to be exact) that was constantly on the go, and not really losing momentum with how the Film should be being paced.

Obviously it's frantic nature won't be for everyone, but I would easily score the Film an 8-8.5/10, I really enjoyed it.

And John Wick as a franchise needs to be noted for two things imo.

1. Great cliffhangers
And 2. Great Music

I just love Star Wars. You can just let yourself go and be transported in a different world. All Star Wars movie for me are 10/10.
