Default Matty tried to quit 3 times

Wow.

NIGHTMARE Big Brother’s Matty reveals TV hell over ‘mean girls’ and tried to QUIT three times – but producers talked him out of it

Spoiler:

BIG Brother star Matty revealed he wanted to QUIT the show three times - but producers talked him out of it.

The 24-year-old doctor from the Isle of Man said he was pushed to breaking point a few times as he struggled with the "mean girls" in the house, which fans said included Kerry, Olivia and Hallie.

Matty said he also wanted to throw the towel in after being "worn down" by his on/off friendship with lawyer Jordan and the "love triangle".

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Matty said: "I wanted to quit a good few times when it felt like there was a mean girl group developing at the start and I felt like 'I'm over this, I'm going to walk'.

"And I was getting to the breaking point with Jordan and it was just hot and cold every two days and it was just really wearing me down.

"And then the day of the seven minutes in heaven and the letters from home - I was ready to walk then.

"But I got evicted, so it all worked out in the end."

Matty said he reached out to welfare during those tough times and production helped support him, ultimately leading to him changing his mind and continuing with the process.

He said: "I wouldn't have been able to do this show without the production - this is the first show I've ever been on but it honestly feels incredible.

"You feel so supported, whenever you're feeling down, the welfare team really looks after you.

"People actually care about you instead of just doing their job and getting paid for it and you can really feel that.

"And I think that goes to show that no one walked or left the house and it not that common because usually people do."

Matty opened up about his "spiky" relationship with Jordan, which often left him confused and took a "toll on his mental health".

He explained: "I did take a toll, because we were friends in the house and hung out in the same friendship group, so we were together sitting in the same group for maybe eight hours a day at least, so to always be on that receiving end, did take a toll on my mood.

"It was low at points because of it and I'm a very sensitive person, so any sort of mean comment can really affect me.

"But the thing that kept me going was the understanding of where it was coming from.

"He wasn't doing this because he's a mean or malicious person.

"He was doing it just as a coping mechanism to protect his romantic feelings.

"I think he had feelings towards me that weren't reciprocated and we just tried to navigate that in the context of being in the same friend group, in a house where we just can't leave and cool off."

Matty - who previously spoke about being in an open relationship with boyfriend Connor - also opened up about his partner's reaction to the "love triangle" since leaving the house.

"We were reunited last night on the Late and Live show, so it was really nice. He was really proud of me and supports me 100 per cent. He thought it [the love triangle] was funny, he could see it for what it was, just something that was blown out of proportion," he said.

Viewers watched Matty and 26-year-old lawyer Jordan exchange flirty banter from week one, before Jordan turned his romantic attentions to 25-year-old food critic Henry.

But Matty has now insisted that he never had romantic feelings for Jordan and has backed Henry and Jordan's blossoming romance - saying "they've got chemistry, whether it's friends or lovers".

He told us: "I wasn't attracted to Jordan in that way, I was only attracted to him in a friendship sense.

"I thought he was funny, very dry, I'd never met anyone like him before. He's a very unique person but not in a romantic sense."

He added: "I think Henry's feelings are incredibly genuine for Jordan, I think Henry is incredibly infatuated by Jordan, you can see it in his eyes and his face but Jordan doesn't feel the same way about Henry.

"Also Jordan has been very honest and clear that he says that he feels there's a platonic thing where they just kiss.

"That may be confusing for Henry but I'm just glad his attention isn't directed towards me and is was eventually directed towards Henry.

"I don't even know how I got dragged into it in the first place."

When asked if Henry is at risk of having his heart broken, Matty said: "I don't think he will get his heart broken because their friendship is very genuine.

"I think they both deeply care about each other and whatever happens after this show, their friendship will grow and develop into whatever it's naturally meant to be and that may be friends or that may be lovers.

"But I would say that the house is a pressure cooker and the emotions run very high in there.

"I think they've got chemistry, they're actually very similar people. They have different backgrounds and different outlooks on the world but they meet in a place where they are very similar.

"They both deserve happiness, so why not."

Matty also defended Jordan after he was accused of being a "game player" after he kissed Henry and made him "a pawn to get a guaranteed ticket to the final".

He added: "I don't think Jordan is game-playing with the feelings towards Henry, I think he's just trying to navigate his feelings and that is a complicated thing."

Wow that's interesting, didn't really expect that from him but when he got his letter he didn't seem very surprised/unhappy about leaving. Do we think there was something in that...?

Would have saved us a few weeks of tedious triangle rubbish.
