Maria Avlonitis - Burnt Heart


A Spotlight is on the Maria as she is crouched down in the center of the stage, there is smoke and fog effects. The stage is dark apart from that one spotlight on Maria. Maria's outfit is all black, she looks up into the camera and the song begins..

The burning love i have for you
might never go out (out, out, out)
burning all the days through
that's without a doubt (doubt doubt doubt)

slowly gets up and walks slowly forward to the mic stand while singing. The lights come up, which are red and black to reveal 2 back up singers, a single bouzouki player and a topless dancer. The dancer begins to dance around Maria

My heart is burnt to a crisp
and I don't know what to do
My heart all black, battered and bruised
and I can't get over you

Your always on my mind
you burn through my heart and mind (all the time)
Then it starts
The strings to my heart begin to unwind

When i lay in bed at night
my dreams are on fire
i lay there and fight
as the flames rage on higher

Maria's dress begins to change colour. Fading to pink and white as well as the black.


My heart is burnt to a crisp

On the coldest of days

my heart is still a massive blaze
stings like an attack from a massive swarm


(Instrumental Solo with the bouzouki)

Main dancer approaches the lead singer and lifts her off her feet and they dance together around the whole stage. At the end of the instrumental the main dancer spins her in front of the microphone stand

Her dress then changes colour again and beings to flash and the lights change colour


When i lay in bed at night
my dreams are on fire
i lay there and fight
as the flames rage on higher

as she sings the chorus for the last time, the camera shot pans up to a birds eye view showing her standing in a black burnt heart made from the LED lights in the stage

dress then fades to black when the song is over
