Okay so I've just read up on this book called 'Thirteen: Volume One' which is basically a series of short instructional horror stories.
Apparently (from what I've seen) it has had a negative effect on some of those who read it. Here's one person's description:
Quote:
Basically, its not a story. Its a list of directions that that you have to follow in order for "The Magic" to work. At first it tells you that you have to be in a quite place.. Then it begins to tell you to dim your lights enough to where you can barely read the words, it tells you to get up and walk to your door and put your ear on it and listen. "He" then identifies himself through, I believe the first letter of every paragraph as satan. And he asks if you can hear him breathing, or maybe not because he might be holding his breath too. ( I guess people honestly hear him knocking) He then asks you to invite him in ( which is the last task/ direction). Idk, i honestly think this 2 page story is no joke. Ive heard of people hearing voices in their head and seeing crazy stuff after they read this. My friend who did read it told me he was hearing voices. I don't recomend this book. If your were just curious, you basically know what its about now.
