Default Has the show improved since the newbies came in?

What do you think? People were very against the twist at first, including myself. But the new housemates have completely thrown the originals off kilter. They were finding it all too easy in there, despite it being enjoyable. I can't help but wonder if it had carried on the way it was, it would have started to get a little boring..?

I don't like it.

The last two episodes haven't been enjoyable for me.
The new housemates are awful and the weekend highlights have all been about the odious Marc.

I can see my self turning off by Friday.

Best of BB16 = 12th May - 25th May

I've always liked the series, it's been rather enjoyable for me from the start, i wouldn't say the new housemates have necessarily improved anything, but it certainly hasn't made it worse, I'm looking forward to how it will all unfold and if it will get any better.

I'm annoyed people are liking it, TBH.

I remember people saying two weeks ago.
"Oh, I'm enjoying this series, I love how it's natural, and the housemates are great, it has a very C4 vibe to it"

Now that's all gone, and it's a clone to BB15, and people are saying they still enjoy it.

IDGI.

Not me i'm afraid. I'm all for natural social interaction, but what we were seeing before the cull wasn't natural either, They were all playing the we are nice card so as not to come over badly. Marc is a nightmare character, but I appreciate the sides he has brought out of the other house mates. To me thats what its all about. It doesn't need to be conflict and argument, but the housemates need to have depth

It's nothing at all like BB15 though, the people are nicer and the atmosphere is a lot nicer to watch.

I for one never said i enjoyed it for it's 'C4 vibe' because it's never seemed like a C4 series, i personally think that saying is a bit stupid, how does a tv show feel like something on a different channel?

I'm liking this series more and more as it goes on because I can actually get behind more than one person with my support, so that to me already makes it better than BB15.

I don't like the new house dynamics.

It feels very Old Housemates vs. New housemates.
It's changed too much, and I just don't like it. I'm hoping it improves, but I can't see it happening.

Not to mention, I don't like the new housemates. I personally think the original four were not worth being evicted just to make room for a Fake Irish with a bad teeth, a Zoe Birkett clone, Booby, and a poor mans Perez Hilton.

I'm really annoyed that they've made what was shaping up to be a great series into an a crapfest, within the space of about four days.

I can see why the ratings are low now, and I hope they drop even more, just to show the producers that they've made a massive mistake.
After all Friday's "rating grabber" of a twist only pulled in a mere 1.3m, which less than a Saturday night episode of BB15.

there will be 2 or 3 days till it settles, I can see from vids today its already calming down. Marc is just a character that takes a bit longer to work out how to deal with

It's not just Marc.

It's just that we spent two weeks getting to know the originals, only for them to be chucked out.

It makes a complete mockery of the show, and pretty much made the first 2 weeks pointless and a waste of time.

I'm ****ing sick of the nominations twists too.
We haven't had one round of nominations which hasn't been interfered with yet.

I thought the original cast were amongst the worst as a job lot, that had ever been on the show. I think the reason for that in hindsight is that they were much to savvy on ways to play the game. It needed to be shaken up, because the viewer ship would have died to nothing without it.

I disagree.
The originals were normal people.

When would you ever get a housemate like Sarah or Harriet, in another Channel 5 series?

The others are just fame-hungry douches, who I don't find entertaining or remotely interesting whatsoever.

I'm glad the ratings are falling, TBH.
At this rate, Channel 5 don't even deserve 600k.

Should just axe BB, and keep CBB, TBH.

If I don't like it by Friday, then they will loose one more viewer.

I'll even go as far as to say that BB15 might even be better than this series now that it is what it has become.

God, I sound like a right moody knob, but it's true. They've completely butchered the series with just one twist.

I'm sorry.
I hate to come across like one of those people who moan at everything.

I've defended C5 BB many times, but I just can't anymore.

I'm only watching to see if it gets good, plus I'm perfectionist and MUST fully watch every series that I start.
But, that may change, depending on Friday.

God, I sound like a right moody knob, but it's true. They've completely butchered the series with just one twist.

The basic problem is that everybody watches it for a different reason, everybody expects it to follow a particular formula that they have latched on to.

Having watched every single series of BB since it started, I don't think there has ever been a series that I didn't cringe, didn't want to throw something at the screen, didn't detest particular characters. Its just that when its over, done and dusted, you remember the best bits rather than the negatives .... so it was always better back in the day when ......

Its entertainment, don't take it so seriously, and you may start to find things to enjoy in it again.

Vast improvement on Harriet and twins, sad to see Kieran go but he was disposable, but Sarah could have been great in this new environment but disappointed.

It's changed. But it's weird.

As if these new housemates are late to the show. Like they've came in at week 7 or something.

In reality they only came in 2 and a half weeks from launch night.

True. Thank you, you make a good point.

BIB - I'm not latching on to the C4 days, if that's what you mean.
The show will never be the same again, I understand that. Time has changed, as has the show.

But, I wish they would go back to BB13/BB14 style. After all that was only two years ago.

The show has changed so much in past year. Especially since BB15.
And not for the better, either.

I don't like your poll choices.

I don't think the show has improved, but I don't think it has ruined a good series. A simple "Yes" and "No" poll would've been fine.

Its been terrible so far. I struggled through watching Saturday and Sunday's episodes. There are too many boring personalities in the house. And Marc stirring up drama has been too forced and fake. There really is no reason for me to watch this show anymore.

It's a much better show and some people genuinely don't like the twist and stuff but I think most who are complaining are simply doing it because they're favourites have gone.

Sorry but anyone who says Kieran was a good housemate needs to seriously look at some previous BB legends or just good housemates and compare him to them. He was trash!
