 ITV has confirmed that Big Brother will return for a third series in 2025, following a second series of Celebrity Big Brother, which will air in the spring. This will mark 25 years of Big Brother in the UK. The channel's second series of the original reality show concludes tomorrow night (Nov 15). During the Live Final, viewers will crown the winner of this series, who will walk away with the cash prize. The third series of Big Brother on ITV2 and ITVX will follow a new series of Celebrity Big Brother, set to air on ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player in spring 2025, as a fresh group of celebrities enters the famous house. The show is produced by Initial, part of Banijay UK. Applications for next year's series of Big Brother are now open at BigBrother.com Big Brother made a return to UK screens in 2023, now airing on ITV and ITVX. Together with Celebrity Big Brother, the Live Stream, and the Late & Live companion show, it has reached 96 million streams on ITVX. Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning and Acquisitions said, “Big Brother programming has firmly established itself across ITV's platforms and become a favourite with our viewers. Together, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother have grown audiences on ITV1 and ITV2 and amassed almost 100 million streams on ITVX. We’re therefore very excited to be able to throw open the House doors once again for another series of both Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother in 2025 which are sure to promise more unmissable entertaining and captivating moments.” Katy Manley, Managing Director of Initial, said: “We are so excited to be coming back with more Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother. Great news! Was worried they'd cancel the civilian series due to the lower ratings. Wish they'd renewed it for longer but hopefully they will have learned a lot from these two series and can make next year's an all round success |

Delighted! However, we need DRASTIC changes. ITV have proven that they can pick fantastic housemates (and have done for both of their civilian series so far) but the production just isn't there. Wouldn't mind a complete freshen up. New house, new format (length mainly), dare I say new presenters even... Also they need to get rid of this "friendly, comical" Big Brother altogether, making quips and joking and making light of rule breaks/giving weak punishments. It's ridiculous. |

I wish they'd transform the entire house like in the old C4 days , it was always exciting seeing the new house style reveal. Still keep the same size ,but do more of a makeover. It always use to look like a completely different house...and I loved it . I found it lazy how ...all they did was change the odd colour this time ,and throw a paint splash design in . I took a liking to the paint splash design,but the overall house was lazy / still very samey to last year . And I miss the presenter giving us a full house tour ,and telling us about the house features. And showing us the Dr room chair. |
