It's doing my head in that people winge and winge that flights don't take off, trains are delayed and coaches are cancelled. Would they rather fecking die if they crash?? The plane gets brought down?? Motorway smashes?? Train wrecks?? Would you not rather be safe? Your family safe? Your friends safe??? ANYONE safe??

Russia cope. The thing is we don't have to for that long. It's ridiculous the UK goes mad due to it

Whats more annoying is that year after year they see it coming, yet they don't put any plans up. tits

Apparently prepared here. My daughter vanished when she went out. As for my dog I'm still considering therapy for her...... she got thrown in the snow and disappeared :joker:

Kerry - on Sunday morning we had in Edinburgh what you have now. In hotel car park it became clear my little 2 seater car would not make it up the hill (hotel car park was on a steep hill)
I've seen you criticise drivers for taking cars out - I didn't know it would be like this sunday!!!. We had to book extra night in Edinburgh hotel.
We pushed about 15 cars up the hill to get free, then walked back into hotel - reception gave us free twin room + breakfast for helping their guests!
We didn't even get pissed Sunday as knew I had difficult drive home.

Us as humans will always find something to moan about.
I think it is probably what we do best.
We'll moan, but it is more disappoint when it comes to things like that imo.

I think it might. It's going to stay cold but I think the snow is due to stop falling

I'm up in Scotland, in one of the worst hit areas, my Branch has been closed since Monday as it's been inaccessible.....and we have customers complaining vehemently - christ, drivers can't even leave home as they can't get their vans out of their streets, so I'm not sure what 'we' are meant to do...... hire husky dogs and sledges apparently !!

Yep!! I work in a place called Livingston....here's a picture of a house there..... not much snow really, I can't see that there's a reason for guys not to be driving...... (yes, a wee bit of good old fashioned sarcasm there!)

'Round here, 1-2 inches of snow ain't nothin' to complain about but down south, they completely freak out. We, on occasion, see our snow in feet like what happened last Christmas.
Planes begin canceled are another thing though.
The expense, the worry, needing to be somewhere by a certain time. Its serious
I don't blame them, but they probably do settle down after a while, let them be worried and upset. Plus, some people might say you moan all the time anyway

Being stuck at a airport somewhere is a bloody good reason to moan! You can't tell me if you were stuck god knows where, away from your family and had a no way to get home, you wouldn't moan.
And by the way you are moaning about people moaning so you're being just as bad really.

i can understand SOME commuters getting annoyed, afterall some countries live with snow most of the year and manage well enough,we always get caught out by it and the country comes to a halt,we had warning about this and still we are virtually at a standstill,i felt for the bloke on the news when he said his train pass cost him £3000 and they were treated like they are(stranded on a platform by the looks of it)another example is the snow gritter spreadeing grit,10 mins after a roadsweeper cleaning it all up again!! I mean really,it's about time Britain got to grips,I know some cannot be helped, but some of it can.I do understand what you are saying though, some people do nothing but moan, surely it's always better to be safe.

I think it's hilarious, personally. The way this country comes to a standstill fills me up with excitement. I wouldn't have it any other way and it annoys me when I see they're 'prepared' with gritters and snow plows. I seriously hope this country never purchases any other equipment which would clear the snow quicker and more sufficiently. It's fine as it is, and hey...it only comes around once a year or so...enjoy it while it lasts!
Who wants to do anything else? Days off, you can piss about in the snow with your mates or stay in the warmth if you don't like it.

Like i said in another thread although i didnt mind, I know many people would be pissed...
I had to walk to work 80 minutes.. in 7 inches of snow do an 8 hour shift then walk another 80 minutes home... Some of us dont get days off i think thats why people get annoyed.
