Where would you rather live?
My heart will always be for my city but I'd love a retreat somewhere
The coast, I love lying in bed hearing the sound of the waves right outside.

The City.
Better atmosphere, you're less likely to be chopped up and thrown in a stack of hay and there's more things to do.

I live in a busy town right next to the sea. Can't beat it. Especially in Summer.

The City.
chopped up and thrown in a stack of hay
and when was the last time you heard of that happening?
all the psychos and nutjobs are in the cities. you'll be chopped up and thrown in a wheelie bin.

I live on the very edge of the city, there is like buildings and houses at the front of my house and fields and green at the back. :amazed:
It's a terrible area though lots of crime and stuff, if there wasn't so much of that it would be perfect, I'm not really fond of the coast.

City for sure. I hate silence. I need constant distraction.

I grew up in the city (albeit a small city) and I lived in London for a while and I definitely have the city thing out of my system now would hate to live in a city again (maybe with the exception of Barcelona, love it there) I live by the coast now and I love it, can't see myself moving from there anytime soon

If I could drive, then the countryside, but I think for now I don't mind the city. Do like a bit of both really. Not too bothered about coasts

isn't like all of Britain a coast?
Vicky.

Well, depends on how close to the coast you class as actually living by the coast I suppose. I live in Ireland which is even smaller than Britain and when I lived in the city I was still only maybe a 40 minute drive from the coast but I wouldn't class that as living by the coast, now I live in a coastal village and am a 2 minute walk from the beach so I class that as coast.

I live about 30 mins away from the sea.
Still waiting for a tsunami to wipe me out, with all these under sea earthquakes :p

City. I'd get bored in living in the countryside, literally nothing to do and I think the living on the coast would be boring in winter but alright in summer. Still prefer cities, something's always going on, loads of shops, loads of stuff to do etc.
