View Full Version : Best Ending to a TV series?

Which Tv series did you think had the best ending? Not you favorite over all series but the one you thought ended the best?

The one that comes to my mind straight away is Six Feet Under. I loved how they did a fast forward on all the main characters lives, it really was an Ever After type ending.

Thought the last episode of Weeds was stupid but the last scene was amazing
Also liked the ending of Lost even though i know alot of other people hated it

One Tree Hill & Buffy had great endings. Although Anyas death is so unfair

Yeah I was really disappointed with the end of Weeds. I didn't really like the Lost ending either, it felt thought up in the last series to me

End of Time (I consider a doctor's last ep a end of a show) the way they sent off David Tennant.

I never really understood Lost but watched the last ep last 30 minutes. It was beautifully executed.

Also The Season 8 finale of Scrubs where JD left. His send off was brilliant as well.

..I haven't watched a lot of TV series'..but I liked the ending to Monk and Desperate Housewives..even though that went on a little longer than it should...I still liked the ending...

..and Friends as well

Blackadder goes Forth... agreed.

Sopranos. I know some people didn't like the ending, but I thought it was bloody brilliant and inspired. So simple, a genius must have thought of it.

Ending of Lost was amazing. Definitely the best of what I've seen. The end of Friday Night Lights was really good aswell.

The Roseanne finale when you find out that Dan had died made me cry. The final season was a mess, but i do love the final episode.

Also the Will and Grace finale when Jack and Karen sing "unforgettable"

Most of what others have said. Very much enjoyed 6 Feet Under and Sopranos endings. I was much younger but thought the ending of St. Elsewhere was strange but unique. Also loved the dream in the Newhart show. Classic way to end a show that had past connections. And more recently I actually thought House was done up nicely. He went off with the only person in his life that he could love.
