· Emma Willis will share presenting duties with Rylan and AJ alongside her new role hosting the main show
· Brand new psych show on Saturday night - Big Brother’s Bit On The Psych
· New Sunday lunchtime show fronted by Rylan
· Return of live streaming nightly from 7-9pm on Channel 5’s sister channel 5*


Channel 5 announced today Rylan Clark and AJ Odudu will be joining the presenting team for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. Emma Willis will continue presenting Bit On The Side alongside her new role as host of Big Brother.

BB fan Rylan entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2013 after becoming a household name on The X Factor. He was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in a tense final against housemates Speidi (Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt). Rylan, a proud native of Essex, stole the show with his extreme emotional reactions, quick wit and natural showmanship. He has since appeared on Daybreak and This Morning as a guest presenter and regularly appears as a guest on Celebrity Juice.

Rylan Clark comments: "I have followed the show since the very beginning. It was a dream come true to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, let alone win it! Being offered the job to present Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was amazing.”

Newcomer AJ has presented on both TV and radio and is no stranger to Bit On The Side having appeared before as a panelist on the show.

AJ Odudu comments: “It’s going to be brilliant fun hooking up with Rylan and Emma for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. I can’t wait to find out who the housemates are and get stuck in.”

In further news, a new psych show will air, Big Brother’s Bit On The Psych. The Bit On The Psych team will be joined by a panel of experts and psychologists to analyse the behaviour of the housemates over the past seven days. Rylan will also front a Sunday lunchtime edition of Bit On The Side.

Ben Frow, Director of Programmes Channel 5 comments: “Big Brother’s spin off shows have a history of bringing on new talent and with Rylan and AJ I think we have two future stars.”

Big Brother’s Bit On The Side is made by Initial (an Endemol company) for Channel 5. The show will return this summer, nightly Monday to Saturday after Big Brother and on Sunday lunchtimes on Channel 5. BB fans will also be pleased to hear that live streaming returns nightly between 7-9pm on 5*.

Not fussed on Rylan. Hardly makes the show 'classy'. Happy with Emma still having involvement with BOTS and the main show (although I am concerned she will be over worked?).

Don't know who AJ is so cannot say much there.

2 hours live feed a day is great though! Yeah sure it's not 24 hours although lets face it, Channel 5 seem adamant in not bringing that back. At least someone has persuaded Channel 5 to at least have some live feed going on each day. Better than nothing.

think the days of true 24hrs are long gone but given the lineup on 5* it had more scope for extra (pre watershed is going to be a disaster) and given the ad breaks.
its also going to be facing most of the soaps on the other channels.

and considering they have a slightly smaller budget this year because this had to compensate for Brian's contract dismissal 2 hours live feed will be Expensive. Emma will be A LOT better, she has 11 years presenting experience behind her. Give it time, it's a progression for Channel 5.

seeing the trouble C4 are in via twitter there must be at least one boss wondering why they dropped BB.

for all the hassle it caused it was a stable audience over many weeks.I just wonder if C5 ever do drop the format would it return to C4 at some point.

Hm, I'm relatively happy. This is a step in the right direction.

I still want to know how much of BOTS Emma is presenting though and whether she'll be doing it alone or with these two, I was hoping they'd confirm that in this press release. I hope she does Monday - Thursday and the other two Friday and Saturday. Is it just Sunday's BOTS they've dropped? If I've understood this right, I'm typing on my phone and cba to go back a page.

Still not sure on Rylan either. I like him but he's not a presenter, and if he gets more nights than Emma I'm not going to be happy. Can't remember who AJ is so I'm disappointed I don't know her but it was the same with Jamie and Alice and they turned out to be good so...

2 hours of live feed is certainly a start, but I really hope they build on this. If they announced the return of 24/7 streaming online for a fee this'd be perfect. 2 hours on TV and the rest online is the perfect compromise, but I shan't hold out any hope as I'm sure they'd have announced the full live feed return today if not.

Like the sound of a psychology show too, always missed them! But let's hope it's actually proper psychologists and not asparagus woman...

looks like all good news too me. Dont know who Aj Odudu is but after googling her she looks like she could be some fun, and it looks like she has some presenting skills already. Still wish they could have kept Jamie and stuck him in there somewhere. If Rylan is doing what i predict he'll be doing with interviewing housemates before they go into the house and doing all the things Jamie used to do then he could be a laugh. I know they should have those 2 hours after the main show nightly coz its going up against all competition on primetime channels.

I think that time is probably the peak of entertainment, tasks ending/results, nom results maybe, start of parties, etc... So, I also think that it was a decent move. And also HMs getting ready for eviction, and there is always arguments before evictions.

I can see the problem they have but again the creative thinking isn't there to get the best from the coverage.
9pm onwards its going to hit the highlights and the spinoff shows.

8/9 pm then 23:30/1am?,5* really is a channel that seems a perfect home for coverage lets hope theres scope to jiggle with the timeslots

It seems like the producer shakeup is exactly what Big Brother needed. Someone finally pointed out "why be second rate 'real' Towie when we can be Big Brother."

If going back to classic form doesn't work then they can change or cancel it. But at least give it a go an get rid of the idea that Big Brother on Channel 5 is a cheap and tacky knockoff.

Not gonna get my hopes up too high. But this all looks good.

The 2 hours LF isn't great. I still don't class it as LF really. I prefer it when I could just flick over the channel now and then to see what they're upto. And if they're gonna judge it by ratings it's always gonna fail. LF shouldn't be about rating...

I never really watch the side shows so not bothered about the rest.
