I wonder why many seem to enjoy ganging up on good people yet they hate it when a good person stands up to the nasty housemates.

What does it say about those that do ?

Why when a few start attacking a good person, do the rest have to join in to stick the boot in too ?

Are they scared to have a different opinion ?

Do they have to join in with what is seen to be fashionable at the time ?

Are they so scared to not fit in with the crowd ?

Doesn't cruelty get a bit predictable ?

Isn't it awful to see it is supported ?

Isn't it a lot more pleasant to keep the good outspoken characters in so they can put the nasties in their place ?

It's the pack mentality. It's wrong, no one deserves to be isolated and made to feel like they shouldn't be there.

That's exactly why Dexter needs to stay!
The way most of them are treating him is awful but the twins, hazel and Wolfy in particular are being repulsive towards him.

Yes I agree we need to keep Dexter and Gina in to do this.

The way Dexter is being treated makes me want to ring Wolfy or Dan number on speed dial. Housemates need to be tought a lesson. :nono:

For me the twins, Hazel and Wolfy. They're vile.

I don't see any real nastiness this series but there are undercurrents of not very fair play.
In the main to Dexter for instance, who has become an easy target for 'all' the housemates, not just one or 2, he is not given an easy time at all in there.

I was livid too last night when BB themselves forced him to sit through all those nominating against him, then virtually humiliated Dexter, keeping him right to the last, only to then tell him he was barred from nominating after asking him to stand up.
I don't think I have witnessed such a rotten way of doing things as to a housemate before by BB especially in front of all the others too.
Way out of order in my opinion.

I do though take on board that we are only observers as to all else going on with the housemates and each other and that we also only get very short periods of seeing bits of what goes on all day every day.
They live with each other and sleep in the same bedroom with each other for every hour,24 hours a day for 7 days every week.
That must be really difficult and there is always likely to be some friction and getting at each other.

So,I don't really see anyone as nasty.intimidating or bullying myself. I can see why maybe Dan could be seen as a bit intimidating by some of the others just by his being a former Detective, however we are 3 weeks in now and they all should really be used to that now.
That is likely his personality from his training, just as others have negative elements to their personalities too.

I also haven't the slightest problem with people standing up for themselves or for others in the house, just as on the other side,if someone has something to say they have the right to say it,right or wrong though it may be as to what they are saying.

I have to agree with Vanessa, it's not nice to isolate someone and have every man and his dog persecuting them however, I actually get the feeling that Dexter enjoys it :conf:

Vote to evict has ingrained this pantomime of good/bad in the audience and it's boring.

Nasty people are always more interesting and create the watchable TV. And they make the HL show. When you don't have nasty people you get BB4 Cameron. The nearest 'baddies' that series had were Federico who was insolent and sarcastic at worst and john tickle who's main crime was that he didn't worship Cameron.

BB5 - widely regarded as having the best ever cast - was full of baddies, irritants and nasty characters (Ahmed, Jason, Victor, Vanessa, Emma, Michelle, Kitten, Marco) and was an awesome series, even winner Nadia was often very nasty but got away with it as people felt sorry for her burden of her transsexual secret. In fact the only 'nice' people were Shell who still caused the wedding fight with Victor that stopped him from winning and, Stuart who led Michelle on and often plotted innocently with the brilliant scheming Jungle Cats).

She said she had saved for 3 months to spend £50 on backy...which changed last night to £15 worth, and has been 'only 50g' at one point too...no wonder Dan thought something was up.
