How many housemates?

Does anybody know how many housemates we'll get this year?

BB12- 14
BB13- 16
BB14- 14 (But 16 people if you include Michael, and Jack & Joe separately)
BB15- 16
BB16- 15 (But 16 people if you include Amy & Sally separately)

I'd usually say we'd get 16 but with there being 2 houses I'm not sure, depends how it all works...

Hope we don't get twins this year though :nono:

Hope it's 20. 10 in each house or 12 in one and 8 in the other. If there's a smaller number than 8 living in the seperate house surely it'll just be like any other series with a secret room?

20 is a lot for 90 minutes launch. I guess it'll be 16 (8 in each house) and maybe later on 3/4 new housemates.
Taking in mind this series is allegedly shorter - we don't need another 4in4out to keep up with 5 finalists in the end.

The new garden looks about 2/3 the size of the old one so I'd expect a 12/8 split in housemates rather than equal numbers.

You don't seriously think BB are going to keep the 2 houses a secret? We've all known about it for months but the only people in the world who doesn't know about it are the 20 people (maybe) who will be going in? That's funny :cheer2:

I'm guessing the extra 5 mins of the Launch episode is just so they can do the continual BOTS thing where they carry on straight from the live show to the BOTS to try and keep viewers

Well housemates would know there is 2 houses if they looked at any magazines and news, unless they have been in lock up since cbb finished.

Yeah, it's definitely going to be the biggest yet for sure. Quite excited to be honest, only because it gives us such a wide variety (hopefully) of characters. Hopefully the best ones don't get evicted, or 'lose their place'

I think it'll be a lot but I don't think it'll be equally spread. If it's like the halfway house twist it wasn't equal, and the new house is a lot smaller so I reckon maybe 12/8 or maybe even 14/6?

Counting beds and chairs, as always, I've counted 12 bed spaces and 12 dining room chairs. I've tweeted pictures of them, with the spaces marked:

I have been guessing 12 for the main house and 6 or 8 for the others so could be correct

and I have a feeling there is another bed not visible in the photos, so I'd say 14 and 14 chairs... still definately less than the usual 15/16 of recent years

But i'm sure there's always the same number of or LESS housemates than chairs/beds, which would mean there are less in the main house than the past 3 series have had.
Obviously that will likely be the case, but could still be 10/11/12/13/14 in the main house :laugh: just definately no more than 14 i guess

Usually does I think, although I'm thinking it might not necessarily mean 14 are going into the main house on launch night, but might be the most there will be in there at a time? for example if the twist ends after a few weeks idk
