Even though BB19 would most likely last for 50-54 days, there are rumours that it's starting late and Summer CBB would hopefully be axed.
So how long do you think BB19 would last?

50, so they have enough days for UBB2.
I'm not sure why aren't they announcing it's dead... I'd be surprised if they end up renewing the contract. Do they usually wait this late to renew BB?

Tbf when C4 announced it had been axed it was in the middle of BB10. I personally hope C5 don't axe it, but if they do I hope they give us warning so we can prepare and pray we get the housemates we want in UBB2.

It seems the length depends on how the previous series rates so starting with BB14:
-BB12 & 13’s ratings were disappointing for C5 at the time, so BB14 was 68 days
-BB14 rated 0.3m higher than the previous, so BB15 was 72 days, the longest C5 series
-Then after BB15 decreased from BB14 by 0.3m, they reduced BB16’s length to 66 days
-After the lowest ratings ever at the time for BB16, 1.4m, BB17 was made the shortest series ever at 50 days
-However after an improvement in that series with it rating 1.6m again, BB18 was increased to 54 days
But because BB18 is now the lowest rated series ever were probably looking at about 42 days lol
I mean, in theory, if there was no summer/autumn(?) CBB, we could be seeing a 13 week series. It's very unlikely, yes, but BB13 was supposed to be 13 weeks (am I right in saying this?) but was cut to 10 to accommodate CBB10
With no summer CBB, a 13 week BB could be possible
Alternatively, it could we get 3 weeks extra of BB, which brings it to like, 10 weeks lol
Or maybe this just means we get 6-8 week BB

It got increased to 54 days so that it would not confilict with the Love Island finale, which was Day 50 in the Big Brother house, I read somewhere.
I also read somewhere that BB18 could have lasted less than 50 days.

Bb12 launched with 2.77 million and had very healthy viewing figures with the finale getting 2.2 million viewers. Also the fact plus 1 wasn't on back then it did really well.
Bb13 was far more impressive launching with 2.93 million and a lot of episodes were pushing 2 million but we're heavily dented by the Olympics later on.
Bb19 imo will only be a 50 day run followed by a final CBB or ubb2 and that's all folks.
It's airing to late in the year for there to be another January series in 2019 to be aired only weeks after.

Does anyone keep track of the total days across the year - with Celeb BB hitting 32 days could that see 9 days knocked off the civilian version?

Depending on how long the break between cbb and bb is, as it'll definately be over by the time IAC starts. I think CBB will last 25 - 32 days so that's somewhere between the 10th & the 17th of September. The gap after that could be anything from 2/3 days to like 2 weeks.
So if CBB lasts say 25 days and BB starts 3 days later than we are looking at a MAXIMUM of 7 weeks (50 days) with the final being on the friday in the week of IAC starting followed by that starting on the sunday.

Based on Beastie’s new info a 14 week series could actually be happening...
Though I have a feeling out of the 100 days, 32 could be used for UBB2...
