i've recently seen somewhere in the 60 or slightly more members on here

i can remember that very well, it was the sunday before i went on holiday and i was quite surprised about that


11k users online also isn't very good for a forum (loads of forum crashes) i think what we have now around 40 to 60 online is quite good, also for the forum health

That was around the time Gillian McKieth visited the house and christopher Maloney was evicted... but it was a pretty uneventful time in the house :think: so weird.

The real answer here guys is that vBulletin counts guests as users for this stat and counts Google crawlers and bots as individual IP's and thus "people".

In other words the figure is meaningless.

Yup. From estimation we usually have like..4x the amount of bots than members online. So maybe if this was cut to like..2k or something it might be more accurate.

Edit..currently '23 members and 99 guests' which adds about right to what I said.

If I remember rightly the 11000 was when were being visited by a lot of bots one time. There have been other occasions when we genuinely have had 1000s of users visiting the site - usually on the Big Brother launch night.
