Yes only for the Royal Day

Liam- 09-05-2023 03:54 PM

I don’t care if it’s only for one day, peoples right should not be hampered in such a gross, government endorsed way, the Royal Family are not more important than our engrained civil liberties

It was a disgrace the Police arrests.
As much shame to this atrocious government for this as well too.

Way over the top and and an extremely concerning omen for the future very sadly.

You are totally right there.
All the way.

Sure, you have your view

But to be honest
it is not going to change

bots 09-05-2023 03:57 PM

You mean our government will continue to hinder our human rights? Again, agreed

They will not put it that way, of course.

You may find Starmer if he gets in,
doing the same

arista 09-05-2023 04:05 PM

This New Law
was asked for, by the Police

Well yeah, fascists normally don’t refer to their policies as fascist out loud no.

And if he does I’ll be saying the exact same thing

He better not or I for one will be out the Party sharpish.
However I'll be followed by likely hoards of others and he knows it.
A fair number of MPs too.

We don't live in Russia as Mock said somewhere on here and nor should we be introducing policies Countries like Russia would to stop legitimate protesting.
It's a total abuse of power.
Dictatorship.

Liam- 09-05-2023 04:17 PM

However, the display the likes of Lisa Nandy have put on in the past couple of days, refusing to say whether they’d repeal the bill or not has been shameful, especially Lammy, outright saying the won’t because they ‘won’t have the time’ talk about shooting yourselves in the foot after a massive win, it’s ridiculous, too concerned with soaking up the right wing vote that they refuse to speak out against corporate/government greed and now human rights violations in our own country, it’s appalling

"He better not or I for one will be out the Party sharpish."

We will find out the next General Election
Oct - Nov next year.

I am immensely proud of the exceptional work of our officers who prevented
criminal disruption, damage and danger destroying such a unique occasion,’
said Sir Mark Rowley, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.

Crimson Dynamo 10-05-2023 04:09 PM

Letter to the DT

SIR – The Metropolitan Police deserve great credit and our grateful thanks for
the way that security was maintained at the Coronation.

The intelligence work behind such an exercise must be enormous. These days,
enemies of the State use highly sophisticated methods of disruption.

The Met has suffered from considerable criticism over the past few years but no
other force could have protected us in the way that it did: quietly, and in the
background, ensuring an incident-free day.
