TiBB Music Festival: Italy 06 // and the winner is... Denmark! (pg. 3)
 

It is time to let the competition begin again! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. In August, we were in Pittsburgh, then to the Gold Coast in October, in Belgrade back in January, in March, we were in Oslo, last month, we were in Manchester. Cut to next month, and we'll be in both Rome and Milan! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea.

FORMAT

The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the 4 day voting periods. For the voting, there will also be 2 sets of points (just like TiBB Eurovision), however, everyone will be sending 1 sets of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for the jury voting, and there will be a second set of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for televoting (split via age group).

RULES

- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
--From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 2-7 countries to participate as.
- In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one).
- Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required.
- Members may only represent between two and seven countries.
- Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The events of the contest will take place over the course of a 2 week period.
- And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate.
- For the first time (in order to cut down on editing one video), there will be two semi-finals, and they will be posted on the same day.

You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter.

The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive a supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics this lovely little award (which has been potentially lost in the TiBB Admin towers)! https://i.imgur.com/pCZ1tmH.png - so if that isn't motivation to bring your A-game, I don't know what is.

Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. All of the countries mentioned below will be free game (sans all of the ones I have, because some things never change with me, and because of the nature of the new participation rule).

On second thoughts I might have to back out of this, ive just had an opportunity come up so I how much free time I’ll get :/

You don't have time to pick 4 songs?

It’s the picking the songs, watching the compilation videos, scoring for however many different countries etc.

Morgan, you don't have to send in votes for the reasons you said (since they'll be replaced with aggregated results). You can still vote in the televoting part, as that is just voting for 3, 4, or 5 countries.

And Morgan, you can just PM me some song names (you don't have to do the country requirement thingy for them), and I'll try to find them on Spotify.

This will be fun to edit come next month.

With all of the events happening here in the states, I may move the dates of the contest forward. which means that song submissions would have to happen as soon as possible.

At this point, there's no need for a semi-final (or two), so we there could be just a final for the first time since the second edition.

Is anyone paying attention to this other than myself? Because I really don't want to cancel this when there's like a week to submit songs?

Miro ''a mark of my soul'' is the english translation of the title, song is completely in bulgarian though, very ethnic balkan ballad

Jolanda Becker ''song of hope'' is from this years afrimusic contest, and i had thought this one's message is very fitting for current times, we can also use extra hope/light now

O'G3NE you might know from eurovision 2017 ''lights and shadows'' and Kinda Wanna is a very bubbly upbeat pop song

Erika Vikman had a lot of hype this year at NF season in finland, this one is a slightly older song of hers but really catchy, and to me very good fun

Mishel & Julia ''tears'' has a lot of Edward Maya vibes, very feel good music, and has a special place in my heart, since they had replied to my YouTube comment for them what they loved :love:

OP updated, and I am still waiting on songs from Calderyon, Liam, and Morgan.

We now have 18 countries out of 27 overall that are now confirmed.

OP Updated, and I've been selecting songs for Morgan, because I have a feeling that in the back of his head, he still wants to do this.

And with Maia sending in all of her songs (and myself having chose entries for Morgan's 4), we have received all 35 entries!
