Rylan : worthy winner ?

I've found this CBB pretty depressing for some reason.
And for the record, I agree with Spencer that Rylan is fake.

It's not that he's trying to be fake, it's simply that he doesn't come across as a real person with real emotions.

And to be brutally honest, the only real entertainment value in there was Speidi - because they were the only ones who really didn't care about the cameras.
Perhaps that's an advantage of being a foreign visitor.

It's not that I dislike Rylan - it's simply that there's nothing of substance there TO like.
Plus I think he'd probably scare me a little bit in RL.
But that may be because I need to man up a bit.

rocket 26-01-2013 08:06 AM

YES..... He was the most entertaining, and funny person in there...
CONGRATULATIONS RYLAN .....
My favourite from the beginning ...and not once did I change my mind...

No disrespect or anything - but such fervent, unqualified support sounds more like Speidi-spite than Rylan love.

Rylan has entertaining moments, but he's not immensely LOVEABLE as such.

No one will ever know. He didn't have to work for it. The best winners earn their victory - like Aaron for example. Rylan just had to wake up in the morning to have his days perfectly planned for him to be the centre of everything.

All he had to do was slag speidi off, say "drop me out" a few times then bb would do the rest.

LOL
Like it.

CaudleHalbard 26-01-2013 09:26 AM

His over-reaction to being called fake reminds one of the saying "Methinks the lady doth protest too much".

People always get more upset at criticism which contains at least a grain of truth.

Summed up very nicely. In my opinion 'A very unworthy winner.'

He was worthy enough out of this crowd. Speidi was a gigantic wave that shook the sh*t off the mountain and he was left after. He was entertaining enough, popular enough, and did a fair job. We saw a few dark moments. Sure, it was "easy" but he had to go through it. I congratulate him and wish him luck in the future. You could see his eye pop when he heard the crowd claim him during evictions. That was real.

Rylan has a lot to look forward to, along with the dips in fame. Let him enjoy the moment for now.

Rylan did get rather biased to, especially considering the amount of solo tasks he received, or tasks he was asked to lead. Really was a BB7 Pete moment.

Don't mistake my post as begrudging. This is the series I've had the least interest in, but from day one everything was set up for him. From the first half an hour of the first show. It's telling he has a C5 programme on the way too. Good luck to him, but the answer to the question posed by the op is still unknowable.

If you class "banging on" about Aaron as saying he went through the mill and earned his victory, then you're completely correct.

Don't you have appalling poetry to write?

When I say write, I mean scribble. When I say scribble, I mean with a crayon. When I say with crayon, I mean like a child.

Sophiee 26-01-2013 11:11 AM

I'd say he's the most worthy winner ever, he made this series totally worth watching in my opinion.

joeysteele 26-01-2013 11:32 AM

Rylan was indeed a very worthy winner in my opinion.

MeMyselfAndI 26-01-2013 11:34 AM

He was a terrible winner, just as bad if not worse than Denise

Me. I Am Salman 26-01-2013 11:34 AM

Nope he left the house, not a true winner

mizzy25 26-01-2013 11:35 AM

I would say yes him speidi or razor, any of them would be worthy winners and maybe even ryan @ a push.

flamingGalah! 26-01-2013 11:37 AM

Yes.

Speedster 26-01-2013 12:45 PM

No he wasn't a worthy winner. He was and still is a talentless (he was kicked off X factor) nobody (because before x factor the general public had never heard of him).

True

Beastie 26-01-2013 01:06 PM

Rylan is a nice lad. A bit one dimensional though. Just too obvious he was going to win. Think he should have come 2nd and Speidi first.

Hey.. 2 gays winning in a row. Julian and now Rylan.

Marc 26-01-2013 01:07 PM

He's been so annoying to watch and I really think this season has been awful, and him winning has just reaffirmed my feelings.

Skumbag 26-01-2013 01:17 PM

Endemol rather obviously engineered things to max out on the drama potential, with a PAIR of panto-villians and an extroverted gay man.
It worked to an extent, but it was nothing LIKE as entertaining as the (IMO best-ever) Michael Barrymore CBB.
Probably the dullest CBB I've watched.

B-minus - capable of better work.

MTVN 26-01-2013 01:21 PM

Yeah, even though it was a bit predictable he was a good housemate, find it a bit strange how everyone goes on about how great Speidi are because they've been involved in the major talking points and all the drama but the same is true of Rylan

A simplistically quantitive judgement.
Rylan's done well for someone from an under-privileged background - but that fact doesn't make him any more likable or interesting to watch.

smudgie 26-01-2013 01:45 PM

As it was a two horse race from the start, than goodness he did win, rather him then the prat tw*ts.
