Revamp + C5 Rebrand = Completely new graphics and eye template?
 

I was just thinking maybe they'll change EVERYTHING to suit C5's new look (and brand image) and the BB revamp

I would be completely up with it because it feels like the old eye template wouldn't suit the new house and also the fact I hate it- it's tacky as ****.

They've basically been evolving the eye since 2013 anyway so I'd be here for it changing completely this year.

They're essentially wiping the slate clean with this relaunch so a new eye could come too.

I'm not sure how they could make a new logo that wasn't similar to the Eatock design or the Channel 5 era logos though

It can be done, look at Conor's designs for BB14 in the design subforum, they're amazing!
Either that, or there isn't gonna be an eye at all :worry:

I have faith in whatever they come up with it. Their graphics have been good since 2013.

They've been good but because of the series they start to look tacky and basically they've got nothing on eatock

Obviously I'd take Eatock over Channel 5 graphics anyday.

Apparently Daniel Eatock submitted really crappy designs for Channel 5 which is the reason they decided to get a new designer in?

Are the Eatock designs the channel 4 eyes? If so they should return to that template, I like those eyes

I wouldn't mind if they kept the current template. Last years logo was amazing. The series was **** but the logo and graphics were great.

That ink blot eye was amazing, 1000x better than the garbage the produced

I think the template is fine, it's all down to the actual design of the eye they go with.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to a new template, but I wouldn't be annoyed if there isn't one either.

I don't mind the current template. I just hope the eye design is good. BB15 and CBB15 were both great eyes and had brilliant graphics. So it can be done with the current template.

Also the graphics have improved considerably since BB14 - when SHOP took over. When they had Hello Charlie (the same as C4) for BB12-CBB11, the graphics were much worse.

I want them to go back to actual graphic design with the eyes.

None of this template covered in 3D TV images, template covered in lightbulbs etc.

Just a nice clean design.

I agree, thats why it irks me so much that they dont choose anything minimalistic
SHOP has to look camp and overpowering, i have no idea why

I've grown to like the Channel 5 template - it's evolved more since graphic design moved to SHOP. That being said, I wouldn't object completely to a new template (or Eatock being brought on board to design the eyes with SHOP).

As a side note, they better not mess with the theme tune. They already need to sort out the break bumpers again - any more changes are just unnecessary.
