Kevin Spacey faces further 7 sexual assault charges in the UK
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised
seven additional sexual assault charges against Kevin Spacey. The CPS said they relate to a number of sexual assaults against a man between 2001 and 2004. There is also a charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. The charges come as a result of evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police, the head of the CPS special crime division said. Spacey, 63, has already pleaded not guilty to allegations in the UK that stretch back 17 years. They include four charges of sexual assault and one of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent that relate to alleged incidents in London and Gloucestershire involving three men in their 30s and 40s. Spacey is known for starring roles in American Beauty and The Usual Suspects, for which he won Oscars, and the hit US political thriller series House Of Cards. He was artistic director at the Old Vic between 2004 and 2015. Dirty Bugger https://news.sky.com/story/kevin-spa...arges-12748691 |
Kevin Spacey is at Southwark Crown Court today
[Southwark Crown Court will hear about allegations from between 2001 to 2013] He arrived Early, getting in the Court before all the press were there. Mark White reported Live on GBnewsHD https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/06...7938005561.jpg [Spacey, 63, has previously denied 12 charges including sexual assault and indecent assault] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-offences.html |
Hopefully he can go back to acting once he's found not guilty of the charges are dropped.

Also you're a lawyer Livia so you do clearly know that "not proven guilty" does not mean "proven not guilty". Whether or not he's found guilty of sexual assault he's quite clearly in my opinion a creep and a sex pest and while I wouldn't see him go to jail for those things, no I'm not particularly keen to see him back on screen. Much the same as Depp really. Do I think he should be packed off to prison? No, but I do wish he'd retire with his millions and disappear from public view. |

He had a repeated pattern of behaviour that was pretty suspect. That doesn't make him guilty on it's own, but the viewing public are not daft. In difficult times, it would take a lot of nerve for a studio to employ him in a main role again.

So we're saying that even if he is found not guilty, as he has been in the past, then his career should still be over? Probably not worth going to court then as he's already been found guilty on the Internet.

Obviously you're free to watch him in whatever he's in. I personally am not interested in seeing him on screen ever again, and I hope others feel the same. |
