Bournemouth Beach: 17 year old arrested after woman dies in stabbing
 

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found stabbed to death on a beach in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police said officers were called to reports of a double stabbing on Durley Chine Beach at 23:42 BST on Friday.
One woman, aged 34 and from Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene while a 38-year-old woman, also from Poole, is in hospital "with very serious injuries", police said.
Supt Gavin House said: "No arrests have been made at this time."
"A full and detailed investigation is under way.
“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the woman who very tragically lost her life."
Dorset Police said the area around Durley Chine Beach has been cordoned off so officers can carry out a thorough investigation.
Supt House added there will be an increased police presence in the coming days.

In a statement Det Supt Richard Dixey, of the major crime investigation team, said: "We recognise the impact this incident has on our communities and are aware of speculation already appearing online about the possible circumstances.
"It is important to state that our investigation is still in the very early stages and it is unhelpful to speculate as to why this tragedy has happened, especially as an arrest has been made."
He added: "I want to reassure our communities in Dorset as well as the many people who choose to visit our county during the bank holiday weekend that we are exploring all available lines of enquiry to establish the motives for this horrendous incident."

…I don’t know why the CCTV images were released when he’s already been arrested and charged…all very, very awful and feels like ‘being in the wrong place at the wrong time’, with no connection whatsoever beyond that…we’ll know more as the trial unfolds but that’ll be a while yet…

Simply for Police to hear from anyone
who was there that night and did see him.
