A nurse called husband Jack Tweed to her home last night after the former Big Brother contestant was panicking and in pain.

News of her deterioration came as it emerged that her former foe, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, was planning to fly in to see Goody on Wednesday.

The pair famously clashed on Celebrity Big Brother, igniting a race row which sent reverberations around the world.

Mr Clifford said: "She was in a bad way last night, she was panicking. The nurse was obviously concerned and decided she should call Jack.

"He went over and calmed her down and she went to sleep. She settled down and had a comfortable night."

Asked if this meant Goody was close to the end, Mr Clifford said: "She has deteriorated, she is very weak. The answer is, who knows? We are on the edge of a precipice."

He said Tweed was allowed to break his curfew in cases of emergency.

Tweed, 21, has to wear a tag after his release from prison for hitting a teenager with a golf club.

Speaking about Shetty, Mr Clifford said: "She desperately wants to see her if she's well enough.

"They have been speaking on the phone, Shilpa has been keeping in touch with her for months and they are good friends."

Meanwhile Goody was said to be "delighted" after the Government said it would review the age limit for cervical cancer testing.

Goody, 27, told Mr Clifford: "It's too late for me, Max, but it will save a lot of others."

I knew the time was coming soon...

It sounds stupid but yesterday I just had this feeling that the worse would happen.

I have an awful feeling that she'll get better, then die in a sudden.

I don't think there is any chance of her improving at all anymore. She's almost totally blind :sad:

Im sad when i get to this thread we all no Jade will be leaving us all soon and we have all watch her in so much pain words carn t speak and i think this year big brother should put her picture up in the house and have one minute silence. her memory will live on any way she will die forever young god bless her lol Angel D:hug:
