An excellent result for Labour.
They need though to set out to build on this.

There were issues for the SNP as to this seat and it's former MP.

I didn't however see this win on this level in a by-election in Scotland.
Its stated that it's just under the percentage Labour had in 2010.
Of course Labour didn't win the 2010 election.
However it's actually a higher percentage than Labour got in 2005 in that seat, the 2005 election was won by Labour with a 68 overall majority across the UK.

So a lot to cheer about but a lot of work still to do.
Winning a by-election is good, however cementing that win and building on it is something that cannot be let up on.
