If you have neighbours who observe Ramadam, do they do this?
We have neigbours who do it every year last night we had rice, a vegetarian and meat dish, pakoras, samosas and a platter of melon, grapes and strawberries

I'm out in the sticks a bit Cherie, just a small town where we live, the nearest biggest town to us is Shrewsbury or Telford, but they sound like lovely neighbours .

We had turkish neighbours and they would always come over with the most delicious food, but my stepdad is also muslim so we would return the favour.

It's probably just them being scared of Muslims because the Media has made them into a scary figure.
To answer the question of the thread, no I've never done Ramadam or been apart of the process in anyway, my neighbours are Muslim, but I've just never spoken to them that much as me and strangers just don't match in real life.

It's tradition for them to share food ,nice kind gesture really .
Sometimes when they've had weddings they might share food as well with friends & neighbors . |

My uncle and cousins sometimes do this with us for Eid, bringing round homemade rice and curry. Course nowadays I can't have any because they don't do vegetarian friendly but I used to love it

I work with a muslim who often brings in food for everyone at work when it comes to Eid. It's a lovely gesture and I do love the idea of Ramadam, It's such a nice well meaning holiday.

Unfortunately like all other holidays, it is beginning to suffer from commercialism with supermarkets devoting whole aisles to Ramadam Mubarak food items. At Easter and Christmas I return the favour
