Tbh in hindsight he probably should've stepped down after failing to beat May.

I am with LaLaLand that it's a shame to see the Election result be smeared by the Media though as they blatantly favoured Boris over Corbyn.

...as much as I find nothing to admire in Boris as a person and as a leader...Jeremy must look to himself as one of the prime reasons that the Conservative party have been ‘unstoppable’...

We'll always have a stupid Tory government sadly, the labour faces will change and the cycle continues of rinse & repeat .

You been asleep LT ??
The media highly favoured Johnson, especially newspapers they were biased AF with the Tories. They painted Corbyn as a rain thunder and Johnson as a beacon of light . Pathetic!! .

Newspapers, Sky News, and BBC News all branding Corbyn as a terrorist sympathizer and a lunatic.

It makes the campaign against Ed Miliband look mild in comparison.

Tbh it makes no sense to me why the Media went like that either as Boris was gonna win this Election anyway.

It hurts the country to have a weak opposition. There's no one to truly stop the Tories doing anything they want. Labour wouldn't listen, Corbyn wouldn't listen, Momentum wouldn't listen... I hope they pick a decent leader next time now they realise most people don't want a hard Left government.

What's all this foolery you spill about "hard left"?? .

Well we're in a hard right government hope you're pleased .

What s contradiction if ever I heard one ,one minute Corbyn is anti semitic then the next he's too far left??? Wtf .

He isn't anti Semitic and the too far left comment makes no sense, I'd rather that then too far right which is what we have now and worse to come.

A lovely man and one of the least problematic politicians we've had in a generation. Shame he never got his chance to prove himself as PM.

Even if Corbyn is actually the most perfect person ever and the ideal PM .. most of the country don't agree, as shown by the election.

"I will not be leader for the next election" and "I'm stepping down as soon as is feasible" are two completely different things.

I hope he's not gonna keep the seat warm until the run-up to the next election. We can't have Labour stagnate under him. The sooner he's gone the better, for the Party and country. All governments, especially this one, need a strong opposition.

Who knows, if there's a strong Labour leader who keeps Boris on his toes for a few years, they might swap places for the following election! But no, we'll probably get one of the insufferable Corbynites who are always in the media representing Labour...

I think it’s for the best unfortunately, the damage has been done, the party doesn’t need to move to the center though, they’re fine where they are, their policies are great and progressive, they need someone new, to fight for them for the next couple of years, however, let’s not fool ourselves, the next leader will be attacked just as much because the billionaire owned msm has seen that it works in their favour, it won’t stop with Corbyn, they’ll find some other tactic to take down the next one, why run a fair campaign when you can con (pardon the pun) your way into power?

Agreed, better to tear the bandaid off than dragging it out. It will cause more divisions.
