i'm sure @Alf will like this
it's pretty simple, those who know lots of music facts post a live performance from any artist of any decade, and share some facts with us regarding songwriters, song meaning, which year song got released inspired of our radio channel Omroep Brabant DJ John van Vroenhoven whom also hosts his ''time machine'' with the best songs from 70s 80s 90s decades with a couple of live performances heard as well on the ''omroep brabant virtual stage'' as he calls it i thought this be something interesting for this forum either, considering most members their love for the music classics

i'll start
in the 1970s decade, the song ''My Boy'' was composed by Jean-Pierre Bourtayre and Claude Francois for the original french version lyrics, and translated to english by Phil Coulter and Bill Martin made popular by ''King of Rock & Roll'' Elvis Presley recorded in 1973 but released in 1974 (album version) 1974 (single) but i am showing you a different version, recorded in 1971 by the well known actor (whom most current generations know as Dumbledore in Harry Potter) he also had a hit with MacArthur Park but this song he also scored a decent #41 hit with in the billboard pop chart and even higher on the billboard adult contemporary chart, #13
