it will not end up in dorset, they cannot override the wishes of local residents. If they try, they open the door for a lot of trouble

Sure, but them spending a majority of their time on a barge is safer for the locals than a hotel probably on the high streets etc ...

The Barge is running late

There was just a guy on TV who was in the Falklands and said they used to live in the barges,they are perfectly good enough to house people in,infact they are probably better than some homes,they have probably all the mod cons etc, much better for those fleeing a country they cant live in,for me if they have a roof over their heads and are safe,I don't see a problem.
