I'm heading into Manchester tomorrow to buy some of Primark's finest clothes to impress the Koreans. One week!

My brother studied abroad in Seoul for a year also .

He had one of the best years of his life and also met his wife there [who was also studying abroad at the time]. I hope you have an amazing time.

thanks everyone

conclusions so far: the city is massive, all the buildings are massive, all the neon lights are super cool, it's all very glamorous. but dear lord it fooking stinks. like, this horrid mixture of petrol, gas, smoke, and fire, but it's so strong that it almost transcends being just a smell and you can actually feel it. oh, and just because the green man is on doesn't mean the cars and motorbikes will stop, or even slow down. that's another thing i've noticed.
