I'm confident in myself that I've chosen the correct order in terms of fitting the dance (or at least attempting to, I know it's sometimes difficult) and being able to entertain an audience with the song. Also thinking outside the box and being a fairly unique choice that impressed me.

Here you go Benjamin
My Rankings for Week 1: Musicals week 14) My favourite was Alan and Dianne with their Jive from the musical six. I think this was really out of the box, thought was given to it, and I think it would be so much fun with Alan and Dianne performing it. Thought it was an amazing choice 13) incredibly my next favourite was Hugh and Amy with their quickstep from Mulan. How Hugh and Amy went home after this I have no idea, it suits the Quickstep so much and I've had loved to see this performed. Hugh was robbed 12) Harry and Katya with their foxtrot from West side story was my next favourite, again this was a shock that this didn't do better in the rankings, I thought this was beautiful and moving 11) next in my ranking would be Emma and Nikita with their Rumba to the little mermaid, I think Emma would make an amazing Ariel. I think this song is perfect for a Rumba. It was a solid choice 10) following closely behind is Danny and Michelle with their American smooth to Gaston. Just as a note to all players here, this player really thought about which celebrity they were, I can imagine Danny Jones really embracing the role of Gaston, so that's why I liked it so much 9) My next choice would be Holly and Kai's Charleston to Waterloo, I think this would be a really fun routine and a Charleston should be fun. And who doesnt love the mamma Mia films?! 8) my next choice is Graham and Jowitas samba, a samba and musicals is a hard fit, I think choosing little shop of horrors was great as it is a quirky musical and samba is a quirky dance I think this worked well 7) Mutya and Johannes are next. Paso to phantom of the opera, great, but I feel done a couple of times on strictly, it felt quite a safe choice, however I think the person really thought what Mutya would look amazing as and putting her in that role in phantom of the opera, it would be pretty iconic to watch 6) going over to the bottom half of the leaderboard now but still I liked was Michelle and Gorkas contemporary, I've still yet to watch Hamilton so didn't feel emotionally invested to the song which is pretty crucial for this dance but it was still a good choice as it wasn't a predictable musical or song 5) My next choice would be Leona and Carlos waltz, this scored pretty highly in the rankings however I'm not really sure if I was keen, firstly I think musicals week should really require songs with words, and the word waltz is in the title I think it was a bit of an easy choice, still beautiful and Leona would smash this but it wasn't one of my favourites of the night 4) Next is Dwayne and Nadiyaz hopelessly devoted to you, this scored very high in the rankings, it's a beautiful song and would suit the dance but would it really suit Dwayne Johnson? Also it's been used quite a few times on strictly and I would have liked a bit more of a risk 3) landing in my bottom three is, Kylie and Vito, the player that has given Kylie Minogue has an amazing celebrity here, Kylie and musicals just go hand in hand, think moulin rouge think burlesque think Chicago, it's Kylie! Aladdin wasn't the vibe for her. The song and dance go together but I was underwhelmed! Step it up player!! 2) so not quite landing as my least favourite but almost there is, Jennifer and Alijaz, I think Jennifer and Alijaz would suit Dirty Dancing a lot, but like this is probably one of the most done songs on strictly ever, I was hoping for more, I have high hopes for this couple though! 1) bottom of my ranking is Tiger and Karen and I'm sorry to this person but really the choice for the tango is a random song from ice age in a musical that I don't think really exists and if it does I doubt this song is in it, this scored quite high on the rankings overall and I don't really understand why, the amount of amazing choices that there would be for tango in musicals week, this was a massive risk that for me didn't pay off! Vienesse waltz can be quicker than a regular waltz Ballroom Tango emphasizes centre and upper body movement more, Argentine Tango emphasizes more on the movement of the waist and lower body

Jones try YouTube to see strictly tangos and strictly argentine tangos, and waltz and Viennese waltz. There are really quite different, musics usually very different too.

When you say original what do you mean? I don’t watch SCD so do you mean that have been used in that before? Or ones that just seem obvious choices?

Ahh I get you yeah. I also factored in the description of what the dance was representing and if I thought it fit.
