This MP is a total coward.

He only hits guys who he think he can beat in a fight.

Hence he wouldn't throw a punch at Tyson Fury. Or anyone who he thinks might hit back and knock him out.

A coward who thinks who he can hit and who he can't.

There SHOULD be a by-election. Get this filth out of politics.

Oh dear me, I realise and actually know that MPs of ALL Parties are threatened with violence and even regular death threats too, it's extremely stressful and even frightening.

However this looks way out of order to any kind of reasonable response.
So he'll face the consequences in law as to his actions.

I'm really pleased Labour have taken action quickly and not only suspended him as a Labour MP but also even before the investigation concluded, suspended his Party membership too.

That's all that can be done however, he is I understand a fairly popular MP in his constituency.
He cannot be sacked as an MP.
So no by election can happen.

Unless his constitutents demand same by recall.
Or he gets a prison sentence of a certain minimum period.

Otherwise if he's fined or whatever then once convicted he can still sit there as a now Independent MP until the next election.
There's nothing really Labour or even parliament itself can do to stop him remaining an MP.
Unless he himself voluntarily resigns as an MP.

Many now saying Bi Election
should be called.

Locals have good reason to call it.

Reform UK are ready to take it.

You can not have a Sitting MP
Charged by the Police.

PM Starmer is in Hungary & the EU,
but he can still instruct his local team
to set up a By-Election

Right decision.
Immaterial of whatever results in the by-election, this is the right thing to do.

I think Ed Davey's stunts reinforce the idea that not all publicity is good publicity.

It won't be to me and in fact in my opinion Labour should lose this contest, immaterial of who or how good the new candidate is.

I'm open to be corrected but I cannot find anywhere where there's been a by-election brought about in the way this one has.
It's absolutely disgraceful.

The MP for this seat, assaulted someone then carried on doing so while the man was on the ground.
That's bad enough in itself.
However has there ever been the case where the assault was on one of the Party's MPs constituents.
Someone the MP should respect, represent and protect.
That's as despicable as it's possible to get.

I'll hate it certainly if Reform win this seat but after the issue that brought this by-election about, I have to say Labour certainly DESERVE to lose it!!
