This guy has been garbage from start to finish this year.Had it not been for the public voting in Christopher he'd have been twiddling his thumbs for most of the series.His song choices are often crap-making Chris sing that cheesy Buble song in the semi-final a case in point(as we know the big guy was always gonna sail through no matter what he sang).His support of Chris has often been half hearted while he's excitedly praising other judges acts.

Barlow-you should get down on your knees and thank both Maloney and more importantly the great british public!!

His heart might not be in it due to personal tragedy, and lets face it, Chris isn't the easiest to give up tempo stuff to as he is a ballad singer end of. If he had sang two ballads the other judges would have had a field day. Its funny that no body mentioned he was ill...ususally they play that card...they really don't want him to win...

Gary has no inkling what to do with him because he isn't a real artist who 'feels' songs and knows where he wants to go. It isn't the song choice that's the problem, it's how they are sung, interpreted and 'felt'. Gary can't perform the songs for him.
Chris could easily refuse to sing a song if he felt it wasn't right for him.
I feel Gary can't stand the guy and has been doing an admirable job keeping a lid on his feelings.

Yeah, it's an obvious case of a judge just staying loyal and supportive because he's had the guy forced onto him by the public vote. Had he been in another category, we'd know his true thoughts and I'm thinking they're not positive.
