WWE RAW rating for this week’s Survivor Series fallout show was a 2.16, down from last week’s 2.28.
This number, according to F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer, is the lowest rating since before the start of the Attitude Era, and it was called “a disaster” for WWE. As noted earlier, this week’s show drew a new non-holiday low of 2.964 million viewers, which was a drop from last week, and and 200,000 viewers less than the previous low total nearly 19 years ago. Meltzer noted this week’s Monday Night Football game between the NFL’s New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills gained about two million more viewers than other totals this season, possibly giving a reason for WWE’s drop. This is the first time since 1997 that WWE RAW failed to average more than three million viewers.

You would think this would make them think about stuff, but i think they´ll just blame it on the NFL being on at the same time.

The whole WWE is in dire need of an overhaul.
It used to be great when I was like 8 or 9 and sat watching it on Sky Sports and the Hardys and Dudleys flying around and Mankind doing crazy stunts. I used to adore Trish and Lita and it's shocking how bad the women's devision has sunk to when just a few years ago they had really talented women now it's bimbos with no talent

I genuinely don't know how they can keep going the way they are. Or even have a suggestion as to how to fix this.

They'll never change, unfortunately we'll continue being force fed the bull**** they're given us now until the company dies, the viewership might be down, but their merch sales are incredibly high apparently, as long as people keep buying their stuff, the longer we have to deal with the monstrosity of a product we have now.
There's so much promise in the company, so many potentially incredible superstars, there's some amazing wrestlers on the main roster who are being pushed down to the pre-show in favour of robotic morons like Reigns and Sheamus, they're wasting so much talent it's almost painful.

Okay before we go any further, stop using PG as a scapegoat.
You can do great storylines with PG, if it was TV-14 with the same writers. All you'd have is the same exact storylines but with blood. No other difference. WWE's in this position because of 50/50 booking and because generally the crowd is so splintered when it comes to favorites, which in turn, promotes 50/50 booking where no one is allowed to be over.

I tend to forward through most of RAW these day's so it's not a shock that ratings are so low.
The WWE have no main rival anymore. They don't need to compete. They can buy any wrestler they wish & pay them a shed load of money to be a mid-carder, if that. Then they go & place Sheamus as the Champion when they have far more charismatic stars like Dolph, Bray & Dean Ambrose on their roster. If WCW was still around they would way above RAW in the ratings. But I don't ever think there will be another rival again. |
