Lol Canada producers wanted to give the certainty to Nikki. As an avid Italian BB viewer, I'd rank Veronica in the bottom 10 for most forgettable hms.

Is she? She was in the show for under 2 weeks and even when I looked her up I hardly recognised her. They should have gotten the other Veronica in there. Shame she probs can't speak English

Veronica and Jase were pawns paid by the show to go against Nikki and Tim the obvious winners. I don't get why they just didn't put them in the house in the first place.

PLUS even if they chose a fantastic ITA HM they'd have no chance because the other three are English speaking series. Italian BB isn't. It's odd. They could have just chosen a 4th English speaking series person. Someone from BB South Africa/New Zealand (does that exist? ) . Even Big Boss had English speaking hms.

Having not heard of any of the wildcards (except Nikki ofc), it seemed to me from their VT's that Nikki and Tim were both leagues ahead of their rivals. But I don't think it was an intentional thing, in order to fix it for them to go in. If that was the case, why wouldn't they just put them in the house without a vote? They know that sometimes BB can produce unexpected voting results so why pick Veronica and Jase as opponents if they didn't want them going in? You could say it was because they wanted to make money from the phone voting, but if that was the case then why not pick more interesting people that Veronica/Jase - that would have meant more votes and more money. The 'they were only picked to ensure a particular result' theory is too flawed in my opinion. I think it's more likely to be the case that the producers didn't have a lot of potential candidates to choose from (it's not as if they could have had any past housemate they want), and out of the ones who were available/wanted to do it, they probably wanted certain 'types' (Veronica fits the flirtly/sexy type from the looks of things), and also they will have wanted all 4 to be from different countries so that automatically rules every past British/American/Australian out, not leaving a very big pool for Veronica's place (especially when you consider they will have wanted someone who can speak English).
So basically, an english speaking housemate, from a non english speaking big brother, who fits the particular 'mould' that they're looking for, who is also available for however many weeks, and wants to do it. I don't think they would have had that many people to chose from.

They could also have chosen housemates from Germany or Scandinavia, as most younger people in these countries speak English.

I didn't know Veronica at all, but seeing Kelsey's glare (with those psycho eyes)when she saw Veronica on the screen, I wish they had put her in as well.
