In fairness to NM, his debating skills are pretty decent.

More fool them. Legally married foreign couples in the UK have more rights than couples who cohabit. This is no different to Brits who get married on a choral island out in the Pacific. If they don't do things according to British law, then British law will not step in as their protectorate when the **** hits the fan.

Brillo either also thought it was Kizzy in the video or that you were trying to mock members of forum for being inconsistent though, and you already suggested you never intended on mocking anybody. So something doesnt add up.

the real thing. Under Sharia law, a divorced woman can normally keep her child until the age of seven and then that child must be handed over to the father. In the UK though, regardless of a Nikah marriage or a Talaq divorce, British law will decide who should keep full or part custody of the children... Sharia courts have no power over this.

I'm giving up to avoid more of your negativity. On some mocking spree today, you.

The confusion you have for the infractions and bans of other members are slowly starting to make sense after seeing the behaviour you've shown in this thread.

@NM: Hmm, unregulated, unauthorized and little accountability. It sounds like many of these courts simply aren't working in favour of the women. I'm glad there are people working and campaigning for a better system of divorce under Sharia law.
There are clearly problems that need sorting out. What frustrates me is the general misunderstanding of what Sharia law is when its used within Britain. Its not criminal law and regardless of the obvious problems with it, it does not and never can work in parallel with English law.
