Default The all encompassing FOOTBALL thread !!
The ref has given the Spurs flair players zero protection today .. he’s missed some diabolical fouls on Maddison in particular

Potential leg breaker - Maddison left on the ground in agony — just play on said the ref


Surely the refs must know that the small teams have to be over physical to compete.

They can’t just let them batter the better teams though

Give it a rest. Spurs have been just as bad, the refs have been on Spurs side, some clear freekicks not given to Tamworth.

Certainly not in the first half — I was about an hour behind the live game

I saw the youngster Moore getting bullied , then Maddison got elbowed in the neck an an arial ‘challenge’ then the leg breaker on Maddison ( plus countless other fouls) then the keeper was barged into another player face first ..

True enough

Though one ex manager, name escapes me recently said that there isn’t a massive difference in actual ability moving down the leagues .. its more the fitness and condition and coaching ..

Spurs just looked pretty uninterested tbh. They weren't up for it and took Tamworth for granted. Still, they got through in the end and i guess that's all that matters at the end of the day.
