Now the issue is, he should really be taking a month off to fully recover, but Boris being Boris, he'll likely want to be "back at the helm" as soon as he's got the all clear and out of hospital.

It is good news I wonder if this has changed him at all? You do hear of people that go through traumatic experiences like this changes them as a person.

You never know, you hear of those recovered experiencing survivor guilt or PTSD obviously I hope he isn't suffering from those but a first hand experience of the work all those in the NHS do has to have had an effect hopefully.

I think it will change him, we will all be changed after this experience if we survive, but anyone who survives being hospitalised and possibly meeting their maker will put things in sharp perspective

Well either way the world will be drastically different when we get the all clear, when lockdown is lifted that won't mean the end of it though. I think the coronavirus will still be around but hopefully reduced .

I mentioned the other day the possibility of creating a national database of survivors, maybe using say NI numbers or NHS numbers?

Thank God
Everytime I see this pop up on tibb's new posts area i think he's dead.. I've given up on the tv for news. I prefer figures in my head. UK is doing really well...so I predict 3 weeks we start chilling in the outside world. |

Unless they've secretly had a massive recruitment drive it is fantasy. We don't have a large enough military (by a long, LONG way) to have troops on the streets in every town. You could do London and two or three other cities (with local police help)... That's it.

I think we'll definitely peak in the next 7-10 days but 3 weeks is a bit ambitious for any relaxed measures... I would say middle of May at the absolute earliest (some easing) and at least July before ANY major change in social distancing measures.

Not like us.

Almost 9000 dead already, and nearly another 1000 dead in the last 24hrs. I know the media aren't asking any tough questions and are focussing on Boris' recovery in the same way as the DPRK would be, but we're not doing well.
