Exclamation

Dr Hilary Cass has been very clear that a ban on so-called ‘conversion therapy’
would prevent appropriate counselling for gender-confused young people. Looks
like the SNP have already decided to reject her review recommendations.

The SNP said the election was a de facto referendum on independence.

Well, the results are in:

Yes 34.4%
No 64.7%

The people of Scotland have given the pro-UK parties an overwhelming
mandate to maintain the Union.

The matter is now settled.

Free prescriptions, university tuition, bus travel and school meals could all soon be axed as ministers attempt to cover a massive Budget shortfall.

A number of cost-cutting measures are understood to be on the table, after Finance Secretary Shona Robison halted all but essential government spending.

Maybe they're trying to invalidate the arguments against independence? If the people of Scotland had chose to separate they'd have lost all those things, so maybe they want to be able to say "you don't have them anymore anyway, HAH!"
