Deceit and lies, procrastination and conflicting advice is the legacy of this government and PM on the pandemic.

The only thing done really well is the vaccine roll.out.
Yet there's still around 700 people losing their lives weekly.
700 out of the what , 2 million who tested positive within the last 28 days of getting a positive test , as that’s what the statistics show

Well you may not be bothered about 700+ families being bereaved.
I do, if that's okay with you.

I'm not talking about Labour or anyone else.
Look, you wouldn't give Labour credit for anything so your comment on Labour I take with a pinch of salt.

These are the results of Johnson's government, no one elses.

I don’t get your point tbh

Is there anywhere that haven’t had thousands of deaths ?

It’s absolutely heartbreaking but it’s nobodies fault imho .

I rarely give the Tories credit for anything .. . they’ve made some horrendous mistakes over the last two years but the main thing was the vaccine program and they hit gold with that .

I don’t give a rat’s sass about all the damn get togethers - I’d bet everyone at those parties were just letting loose after another dreadfully stressful week .

I heard stories of nurses , doctors and orderlies who were having drinks together .. they deserved it - imho

I followed the rules to the letter but I know loads who broke the rules continuously and didn’t even try to hide it .

Well look you NEVER do so as I said the last time.
It's a waste of my time to respond to you.

I'm talking about unnecessary losses of lives of which the estimate is over 20,000 of them
4 of them from my family and friends so don't get me wound up even more about that.
Because WE, my family and my Mother who has never come to terms with the unnecessary and avoidable loss of her sister.
We know the medical facts and the incompetence and negligence from government which created the environment for those losses to happen.
Which we and thousands of others will rush to present to the official independent public inquiry which your prescious deceitful PM dreads happening having kicked it into the long grass for well over a year.
Because he knows what will come from it.

Anyhow, it is a waste of my time responding to you and frankly I'm wishing I hadn't again today.

Total waste of my time.

I think if a claim is made that the government caused x amount of deaths due to failure to act quickly then a similar claim should be made about the speed of the vaccine roll out and how many deaths that has avoided

Earlier you claimed it was 175,000.

Ok, sorry for your loss, but how many times have you brought that up as an excuse to rant about the deaths of 174,996 others, literally 99.9999% of whom you don’t know the circumstances about - whether they were old, already weak, or got killed by other means than covid

Zizu shouldn’t have to apologise for you and your short temper, I don’t care whether your auntie or your pet budgie died it gives you no excuse to be this vicious

Just exactly where have I ever asked or said Zizu should apologise.
Plus what has it got to do with you anyhow???

Fine, I'm off this thread.
You and Zizu get at whoever else you like now.

Oh but, as to the 175,000.
I said IF you read it properly.

The government's figures are just under 151,000 deaths.

The ONS state the figure of deaths is more like over 175,000.

The estimated avoidable deaths are 20,000.

Right that's it for me on this thread you and Zizu will be pleased to learn.

there are endless amounts of unnecessary deaths across all fields of life let alone health issues when you can look back with the benefit of hindsight. It's just one of these things. The UK has learnt a lot over the last couple of years and are one of the best positioned across the whole world as of now. Thats not to say we haven't had some very harrowing times, we have, but the trajectory from january last year has been nothing short of brilliant
