To be fair, if I was going to introduce myself it would simply be by my first name.
If I said I was a cis woman in my circle of friends they wouldn’t have a clue what I was on about.

It's meant to be used in debates related to gender, now general conversation, its hardly a hard concept to grasp

I'm ****ing six ciders drunk and I have no trouble understanding it lmfao

That wasn't posted by Jessica

I'm impressed if she did in fact say it and you remembered it from months ago tho!

No she referred to me as cis a few times in that recent thread - tibb and diversity

Can you find when though? Because I swear she didn't refer to you as cis

Her not answering you, and in the post above admitting she did, and that's still not enough lol?

Anyway, this is beyond a waste of time now.

"I replied to him and used the word"

People replied to you and the response had "trans" in it. Didn't make you trans

From the diversity thread:
"I don't agree with them because they are wrong. I am aware of the world around me and it's not the wonderland that so many people are making it out to be. Straight white cis men are the most privileged people in our countries and even though they face some issues of their own it is not because they are straight white cis men or spotty or ugly. "
(Can't directly quote since it's locked but have a look yourself)

And in this thread, Jessica explains why she used "cis" in conversation:

Quote:

Am I missing something?

But that's my point. Forget about the 'cis' thing for a minute. You wouldn't introduce yourself as a 'woman' in your circle of friends let alone 'cis woman' so it's really not especially relevant.

There are many names/labels for things/people etc in this world that are only relevant at certain times/in certain discussions etc and that's literally all it is. A distinction when discussing trans topics.

...I don’t ever recall being referred to as cis in any debate...or seeing anyone else referred to as such...it would surely only be used as a descriptor if a specific definition was in context to what was being said...I wouldn’t say it would be very widely used as a general...

I think we have the same point, but a crossing of wires.
If you have transitioned to a women then I don’t feel the need to make a distinction.
If Fred became Freda I wouldn’t refer to her as Trans or woman, just Freda.

That's not the point. We're discussing terms which distinguish when it's needed. Not in everyday use, but in a specific debate/discussion.

I'm sure you wouldn't refer to Fred/Freda as "human" in everyday parlance, and yet the word is there when it is useful in certain discussions.

I don’t have any problem with the use of any words in a specific debate.
Just not something I would encounter other than on here.

which indirectly is the point the OP was making. A term was being used in an attempt to classify him in a group to make a point rather than add value to the debate.

...that isn’t what happened though, Bots...what was actually said in another thread has already been established and it wasn’t used to classify anyone and it did have a value to what was being debated...
