he is a left leaning tory. The tory party was a broad church before Boris got rid of them all prior to the last election. I liked the broad tory party and i'm sorry it's gone because i have no-one left to vote for

I always liked Rory.
He looked for compromise and ways of working with others in other Parties.

He was always a more moderate side to the Cons.
He'd had enough once Johnson was elected leader.

Personally I'd love it if he joined Labour but I doubt he will.
He is more a LibDem.
Pity.
In my view he's someone who should be in politics.

Exclamation

Tories including Boris Johnson have spent the last 2 days desperately attacking
Nigel Farage for daring to have a non-narrative view on the war in Ukraine

Responding to the article on X, Mr Johnson said: “This is nauseating ahistorical
drivel and more Kremlin propaganda. Nobody provoked Putin. Nobody ‘poked
the bear with a stick’.

so oh deary me what do we have here then...

I've never known the run up to any UK or US election to be this boring. I'm so bored. They've managed to rouse absolutely nothing but complete political apathy.

Its a bit like an FA cup final between Man City and Forest Green

everyone know City will win so no one really cares about it

it makes me laugh that the media continue to pile on to Sunak when he doesn't have a hope of winning and will be replaced as leader at the first opportunity

Tory Candidate James Cracknell
called this problem of Betting on the Date of the Election,
is a Shower of Sh***

Ch4HDnews Cathy Newman
used that word Live at 7:40PM
talking to a Conservative MP
who did not want to debate this distraction

Also on Ch4HDnews
a report on some youngsters who said
get the Politicians of their Tik Tok.

The IFS confirmed today
Well the IFS has criticised and blown holes in just about ALL the Parties plans.

Of course it's possible IF the growth doesn't come then other means of raising finances may have to be used.
However too IF growth does increase then the IFS is more likely very wrong

This IFS who have year on year just about had to upgrade and downgrade it's forecasting on the Cons budgets over the last decade.
Often not having a forecast more correct.

This IFS which along with ALL the other monetary institutions couldn't even forecast the global banking crash to come in 2008.

ALL the Parties may well have greater problems but it seems the IFS has only concentrated on the negative possiblity of Labour, Con and other Parties manifestos.
Except it seems for the LibDems.
I think they ought to have presented the positive and negative sides of the Labour and Con manifestos.
Not just present the more and only possible not certain negative results.

with the instability around the world at the moment, no-one can say anything with a high degree of certainty related to finance. All the parties can do is use their best judgement and be transparent in why they are doing it. No-one can ask for more than that

Yep

Wont make a jot of difference whoever gets in power - nothing ever changes.

We are tiny island crammed to the hilt , penniless ( well worse than penniless) totally reliant on imported goods

Every week we allow THOUSANDS of fighting age men into the country

I worry so much that we may simply move abroad sooner rather than later- why wouldn’t we ?

Makes zero sense to stay here if we can afford to escape and start afresh
