I auditioned at London over the weekend and got through to round two.
First time around I was rejected due to a bust up between two auditionees resulting in only 1 person being 'stamped' and leaving the rest of us somewhat bewildered. Second time round got through after being more 'assertive' only to be interviewed and rejected in stage 2. What have I learnt? That the BB audition process doesn't get the best out of people. (I auditioned the day before for a completely different show and that was ALOT of fun! It was relaxed with a few good games where your personality can shine through). The only good thing that came from the day was meeting a complete stranger in the morning and leaving later in the day making a new friend. I know the show spans over a long period of time but the conditions of the audition were very poor. After the 2nd round involving the camera interview there was still a long wait with no access to refreshments. Why ask people to walk up some stairs only to return back down them after being told "Sorry guys I'll be blunt you haven't got through. You've done well to get to this stage though'. After the interview if you aren't successful why can't you just be told to leave there and then and therefore less time is wasted? Maybe my OCD is coming through and the need to organise...hence why not being picked in the first instance! LOL Anyhow Big Brother...good luck with your show. Your loss..you could have had me and now you can't even if you tried paying me! |

Yeah that annoyed me,bringing you into an entire different room just to tell you no. It was stupid.

My friend got through all the rounds and he ended up leaving because he was thirsty and there was no where for drinks and he was bored of waiting.

Hearing how hard the auditions are, makes me so proud of my cousin who got right through and was basically going to be on BB9.
And then the fucking bitch dropped out because she would get home sick, and was replaced by a BB9 stand in. I will never forgive her.

I completely agree with you. The auditions seemed very unfair, allowing attention-seeking fame-wh*res to grab the spotlight from genuine people. It was all about who is in your face the most rather than who is potentionally the most entertaining, you don't have to be loud and in-your-face to be entertaining.
I got stamped with two others, and me and the only woman to get stamped from us three stuck together. We were dying for a cigarette as we'd been in the queue for hours and nerves were getting the better of us, only to be told by staff that people were not allowed outside for a cigarette - even after we suggested a staff member watches/supervises us. To be honest, people are warned/advised to bring food and drink to the auditions, but cigarettes is something you can't can't do inside and then aren't allowed to do outside. A lot of my true personality didn't show as much because I was becoming increasingly inpatient from the lack of nicotine. I also think the call-back stage was very badly done, not taking into consideration that they had removed Newcastle, Birmingham and Belfast from the venue list and people were travelling long distances to the auditions. I met quite a few people at the Manchester auditions who had come from Birmingham, the North, Leeds and Yorkshire. If they got through, them people would have then been told at the last minute "please come back tomorrow". I'm guessing it was then a case of, you either come all the way back tomorrow or you have to travel all the way to another venue for a call-back (which is basically a 10minute interview) OR you're out.

I was gutted because I felt the games wern't to my or many people's strengths.
I knew what to expect, because I read a lot of threads on here (thanks to BB11UK) but I paired myself spontaneously with the first girl who was shy, timid and 'didn't wanna be there' and hardly listened to the conversation I was in with her. Then I was caught off guard to describe why I would choose the hottest shortest girl in my group and I was so lost for words I said the first things that came to mind...hair, smile tits WTF! I felt I had such a lot of unique background never been offered before, being a farmer/farmers son and obsessed with cows, but I couldn't get to explain any of it. Oh and 6 people were stamped, I just get the impression I was to 'aggressive' physically in the games Last edited by 1066gull; 09-02-2010 at 11:18 PM. |

I went to the London auditions with someone. It was very interesting. I pretended to be an auditonee, as I didnt want to be left outside in the cold!! I couldnt feel my feet or hands and was not going to be left outside for noone.
I was in the queue with...and found it very entertaining. I saw three huge arguments amongst people..and they arent even in the house yet!!! Hilarious. We met some very interesting people and wish them luck in their audtitions. Went back for the second day to support, and I was not allowed in!! Oh well. |

what did you stuff up in the diary room? Lots of um's and ah's. What i don, get the people who do the picking pens and who give you stamps if you through how do they know what the exec producers etc want.there is so much variation it is a bit of a silly process. What time did you finish your questionare to get home at 12 mine was finished and i was home for dinner

Wonder if it was the argument that I saw??? What was you dressed like? The girl who was arguing and VERY confrontational was black and with a hoody! She was offering the person outside! NICE! Just the sort of person you DONT want in the house. She reminded me of Charlie. A complete argumentative, confrontational idiot.

I was in the queue and someone was given me a right dirty look. I looked around thinking she may be angry at someone else and then realised it was 'me' she was staring right at! I was thinking to myself whooah I haven't done anything and already I have someone at my throat! Turned out to be a complete misunderstanding on ger part and we got on really well. Funny how things turn out. She was black, looked really aggressive but once we actually started talking she was probably one of the sweetest people I've met and generous too...she shared some grapes with me which were much appreciated as I was getting really thirsty. First impressions can be wrong and no offense to the BB crew but how many of the staff at Stage 1 were from an older age category? BB housemates are meant to reflect society but who's society are they representing?
ps. Good luck Possiblehousemate and BB11UK with this year's show :O) |

Good look Onna in your other audition for the other TV show Please tell us what it is when you can! Yeah I got to the 2nd round as well.. I met a few people and would be fun if I saw someone who I met end up in the BB house! LOL fights.. there wasn't really any that I witnessed but this biggish girl was going on "kissing someone is not cheating" lol.
It will be interesting to see who makes the final cut.. hope the BB producer sticks to his word when he said "We are looking for housemates with intelligence who can hold decent conversations for 13 weeks" mmm.. yeah right! |

If you're 'too' intelligent then Big Brother would find it difficult to manipulate you. I'll probably watch the housemates enter the house and wonder why they were chosen over others (me) then go ahead and enjoy a summer of freedom!
