Yeah, I love the irony of this. It's like Metallica releasing an album free with the Metro with instructions on how to rip and share it on Pirate Bay.

The reason he did this is because he felt Warner Bros. were giving him a raw deal and limiting his creative freedom so he didn't want the albums he would release under Warner Records to bear his real name. He changed his name back to Prince in 2000. This was when his contract with Warner Records ended.

"The internet is over" what a complete prat i bet more people have obtained his new album via file sharing sites that got it from the newspaper.
