Hmm, rushed policy ideas from David Cameron usually are totally destined to fail or end up needing to be massively looked at again or have a 'listening' exercise, I expect that will be the case again with this policy.
He is really going to need 'all' the Lib Dems on board for this one I think and it would surprise me if he has the time,whether it is a good idea or not. Odd that for over 3 years now he has done absolutely nothing as to this until now. |

They make it sound like trying to make the Labour/Unions alliance more transparent has only just occurred to the Conservatives. Last time they tried to cap donations Labour squealed and squealed...

It will surprise me if he succeeds in getting agreement to get it all through.
By the time it has been watered down and amended,I doubt much will remain from whatever original content this idea contained. He has not really a good track record on getting what he calls major reforms passed with ease. |
