...just now I heard Sophie say she was making late night pancakes and asked everyone if they wanted some and of the twins said " I'm 18 stone..of course I want some" and then laughed...
They don't seem to be concerned about their weight at all...they almost revel in it. Last edited by brucie; 02-08-2013 at 11:59 PM. |

Being 18 stone at the age of 19 is tragic!
Are they too dimwitted to realise what a life of illness awaits them? The trouble is they validate each other. Last edited by CaudleHalbard; 02-08-2013 at 11:49 PM. |

I think...as sad as this sounds...their weight is part of what they percieve to be their novelty value...plus the 'twin' factor...if you take those both away what are you left with?

I really don't like the twins but I also don't like how people are being shallow about their weight. I do actually on this occasion blame their mother, she obviously hasnt taught them how to live a healthy lifestyle. Their weight at 19 years old is a worry, they are being set up for major health problems at a very young age.

The twins seem happy and not bothered by their weight, so it doesn't bother me what size they are at all.

It is easy to lose weight at that age as I know from personal experience - having lost 3 stone between the ages of 17 and 18. |

I guess but they seem like they would have the will power to diet if they wanted to be thinner. They would also have each other as motivation.
Or they could be aiming to be on one of those Biggest Losers shows after this. |

I agree that they're probably heading for heart attacks (maybe twin heart attacks at the same time) before they're 50 or something. But they do seem clever enough to realise the damage carrying unnecessary weight on your body can do. Last edited by GypsyGoth; 03-08-2013 at 12:07 AM. |

It's really unhealthy to be that big at any age, but the fact they think it's funny is worrying. This twin told of breaking his ankle and mocked a 'fat mans' walk....
Weakened joints and the pressure of 18st pressing down on them could mean that lumbering fat man with painful arthritic joints might be him one day. Let's hope they cut out the carveries a bit

it's so extremely unhealthy to be that weight at their age. they're always talking about food and their weight but I think it does secretly bother them.

I think it's an insecurity that they laugh at to make it seem like they don't care

Definitely, I find it incredibly unlikely that they haven't tried to lose weight before they stopped trying too. Sometimes, its genetic.

Let them be overweight? Don't see what their weight has to do with other people tbh, they chose to be that size and they know what to do if they wish to change.
