Default Re-watching BB2.

I started re-watching this for the first time, the other day.
I'm on Day 6, now.

It's a really great series, so far. It's very basic, but not too boring, like BB1.
The housemates are better. They have a task to keep a fire going for 5 days, which is so simple and great. A shame we never have tasks like this these days.

The housemates, I like so far are:
Amma
Penny
Narinder
Paul

Not too keen on Bubble. I find him very off, and annoying.

Agree.
He really should tone down.

He's overused. I wonder if they're paying him more than the C4 days, or if he's just enthusiastic.

Or a twist that will turn the house upside down.

Honestly, Big Brother is a comedy these days.

Absolutely overall bbuk was much better on c4 just glad its still on air although a break could be good for it although that won't be happening now since c5 have signed a new deal to keep the show on air till at least 2018

I think C5 get a lot of slate.
C4 did Big Brother better, than C5 does. Though the last two years on Channel 4 were miserable, and worse than C5.

But C5 does Celebrity Big Brother much better than C4 did.
Every C5 CBB series, with the exception of CBB8, is better than CBB2, CBB5, and CBB6, which all aired on C4.

Yeah.
I mean, C5 BB has many flaws. But it doesn't feel dead or depressing like C4 BB did in 2009, for instance.

I'm the other way round.
I love BB8, but not keen on BB11.

I think BB died after 2007, TBH.
People say it died after BB7. But 2007 was the last decent year, IMO.

In 2008-2010, too much changed.
Eviction crowds got smaller.
Spin-off like BBLB, and BBBM went downhill.
All the good presenters left, like Dermot and Russell Brand.
Ratings went lower each year.
Media no longer interested.

Through all that bb still has a loyal audience who have remained with it including newer fans to the c5 show

I disagree with no live feed.
If they can't give us 24/7, at least a few hours a day will do.
30 minutes a week is an embarrassment.

The format of the show is to watch the housemates every move, all day, everyday.
Highlights are to brief and contrived.
We need to see unedited footage with our own eyes, and get to know the housemates.
Without a decent amount of live feed, it is not the true format of the show.

I remember back in 2009, when C4 scrapped 24/7 live feed, the uproar. Back then they still gave us about 6 hours of live feed a day.
What I'd do for C5 to give us at least 6 hours.

If it's too expensive, why don't they charge, like BB11 did.

I'd be happy with a 3 hour slot after the main show every night 11-2am

Same.
Or 3 hours spread over the day.
Maybe an hour at 1pm, during lunchtime.
Then two hours after BOTS, from 12am - 2am.

I don't think it will ever return 24/7 sadly but a few hours a day could really help the show especially civilian bb

Agree. I don't mind not having 24/7.
But even a couple of hours a day, like BB14 had, was fantastic.

I want it constant too.
Not for one series, then scrap it.
It should also be present for CBB, too.

Without a feed it all just feels very controlled and fake
