Default would you pay a ransom for your dog ? wrightstuff debate ?

forget the dog its a poetry ransom - wrightstuff ? 10.05.17

wednesday was normal
servicing the community was a need
here comes the warning that s formal
wrightstuff inspired what your about to read.
the debate started clicking
by every minute getting more handsome
the lost dog i am now licking
highgate is the ultimate ransom.
everywhere is the stain
the message boards are my carriers
i run through camden like the HS2 train
as soon as i pocket i will overtake the harriers.
this is not for your pleasure
pure business is my objective
if highgates tranquility and peace is your treasure
paying up leaves no negative.
not having to twice weekly hike
highgate hill pond square and the grove
a community with out me you will like
peace and quiet will be my legacy loathe.
on a beach sitting pretty
the wrightstuff watching made me smile
i made something of my life so no pity
for the unintelligent millions my next ransom is jeremy vile.

I'd like to say yes but I am not sure a ransom would be the right thing to do.

Surely you have to go with the "we don't negotiate with terrorists" thing. If you pay up for your dog... the people who took it are A) Going to be encouraged to kidnap more dogs and B) Will probably try to kidnap your dog again anyway, because they now know for a fact that you'll pay up...

I'm guessing if they're holding a dog for ransom they're small time. I'd be willing to pay the ransom and then spend considerably more having them gathered up and their hands tapped will a ball peen hammer, to give them a permanent reminder that blackmail is wrong.

a dark anthem rises on this sunny day
where oh where...could puppy stray
my heads a mess full of stress
i'm in a panic i must confess

wait there's a ring on the dog 'n bone
a strange man gruff in tone
we're waiting here with your tara
phe..eew i think i give a quick hurrah

it was gonna be pounds that man wanted
i'm eager to pay...anything granted
but i learn the truth the harshest way
puppy prefers her new home 'n wants to stay
