Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson have split today - just a week after her jealousy over his Dancing On Ice partner.

Megan announced the news today on her Instagram , revealing they're going their separate ways. after just six months together.


"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote in a statement that at times came across as jokey.

"We have been working hard for well under a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much, we will remain separate.

"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we ever have been,

"We are parents first and foremost to one incredibly wonderful hamster and we ask for his and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.

I assume their reality show has the same production company as Chris and Olivia’s and they learned from their mistakes as the latter’s split affected the success of the show and so Jack and Dani are staying together for the sake of both of their careers.

I don't get why they haven't split again yet though, the reality show ended weeks ago and at the NTA's they seemed really natural - we got exclusive clips of them backstage, in the audience and on the red carpet and everything seemed normal - you can tell when there's awkwardness between exes but there wasn't any.

Yeah it was like 3 episodes and iirc it aired on a Monday-Wednesday instead of even weekly. This was maybe a fortnight ago

The breakup was discussed in the final episode as well and everything seemed normal so idek?
