A BBC investigation found influencers promising to share their phone numbers with fans in exchange for the gifts.
TikTok said it would strengthen its policies and guidelines but did not explain exactly how.

Claire, 12, who lives in the north-west of England, sent TikTok star Sebastian Moy a £48.99 "drama queen" gift to show her appreciation for his videos.]

2 Geeky Polish Brothers are in their late 20's
they claim to ask if the parent
is aware the 12 year old girl is sending cash to them.

One Toronto Mother was shocked to find out her 12 year old
had sent around £400/

How exactly are these kids getting access to their parents card details? Rookie mistakes being made here. I'd bet it's saved details on web browsers and parents being lax with security - i.e. not having separate user accounts for their kids, not password locking their ****, or not ensuring that their kids don't find out their password.

Or using stupid security questions like "name of first child" .
